They Came, They Saw, They Conquered. Bobcats defeats Celtics by 4 in Boston!
Q-Rich couldn't have debuted better.
In a game where the Charlotte Bobcats had the Charlotte's rapper 9th Wonder as their assistant GM, the Bobcats won in an excellent game over the Boston.
Kemba Walker, Q-Rich and Ben Gordon combined for 68 points, including a game-decider 3-pointer by Ben Gordon when the clock was on 12.4 that made the game a 6-point lead.
In fact, it was on 3-pointers that the Bobcats won the game. Hitting 4 more than the Celtics, the Bobcats (that had only their trio shooting 3's) was constantly shooting and scoring from long-range. After the game, the offensive coach of the Charlotte Bobcats, Ron Harper, said about it:
'Well, we have Gordon, Walker and Q-Rich, 3 excellent 3-pt shooters, we have Varejao and Biyombo who can always chase the offensive rebound. So why not try the threes? We've been working at it with Kemba and Gordon and it worked, Q-Rich has arrived and it looks even better. We're the most underrated team in NBA right now.'
With a 11-20 record and 6 wins on the last 10 games, the Bobcats begins to show improvement and keep getting closer to contend for the playoff.
Are You Ready? The Big Three has arrived
What happens when you put together:
1 - A 21-year old PG that's extremely quick, very good getting to the rim, with a winning mentality that is already a team leader.
2- A 6 seasons NBA veteran that's an excellent scorer who has no problems shooting off the dribble, can hit really big shots, plays even better on the 4th quarter and is a very effective floater.
3- An excellent 3-pt shooter who likes to shoot beyond the arc, is a great rebounder and a good on-ball defender.
