Clippers accept as we feel Gorgui is already a solid player but still young with plenty of upside and a better short term option for us than a rookie would be.

I still think you're paying too much for these picks. Moving up 22 spots is not worth Gorgui Dieng. Ultimately this is fine though, great deal for the Clippers.
I accept.

Does the cap work on this?
The Clippers are way over, right? Does the #15 salary make this work? Just don't remember this happening before with an over the cap team.

It can't happen the way they intend it to happen if Dieng's BRs are an issue, because it's being sent as a pick.

Not sure of the exact rule but why would Bird rights be an issue? He clearly has 3 years left on his contract still.

Yea this is an issue. The 15th pick has a salary of $1,835,200.
So this can be changed to draft rights to Papagiannis instead of the pick since 1st rounders are signed automatically. That would work for salary.
But that messes with the 37th pick because it hasn't happened yet. Also going based on draft rights means advancing Dieng's salary to next year since it's using next year's salaries for the pick. That mean the Clippers don't get Bird rights for Dieng, which I assume is key for Coach K.
Not to mention having Draft rights to Papagiannis and Dieng on next year's rules, and the 37th pick on this year's rules makes the trade illegal.

Sorry, should've been more clear - it's because the #15 pick has no salary value, so you're taking on money without giving money back which you can't do because you're over the cap. Edit: Alex has a much clearer explanation

Original deal has been changed to one that will work salary/Bird rights wise.

Question so I understand. If you trade a player for a pick (1st round), you count that first round as your salary match?

Question so I understand. If you trade a player for a pick (1st round), you count that first round as your salary match? Only if you are using next years salaries. He wants diengs bird rights so we had to use this year salaries, so the pick has no monetary value attached too it until the regular season (though there is a cap hold, but cap holds don't count as salary in trades)

Adam has touched like 75% of the picks in this draft at some point.
