I am actually slightly surprised at myself for jumping in and making this trade. I saw Jeremiah's time to pick was expiring and I knew I wanted Murray... but considering Jerian Grant went #9 last year this technically could be broken down as #9, #13 and #32 for #6, which is just a clear numerical disadvantage. It was a bit rushed and I'm very ill in real life this week with a cold and a huge exam to study for and OSFA starting and I'm at work and didn't want Spike Lee to get Murray and ergh! I'll still be quite happy with Murray, in fact he might start over McLemore and Jaylen Brown to begin with at least. I need at least one shooter on the team!

Bizarrely I'm the only one who disagrees, lol. Jerian Grant's moved to Chicago now and he might be given the keys run that rebuild now.
Also there's a lot of guys who really dropped this year, #13 and #32 could still net a great player imho.
It's like I'm not thinking straight today...

I was a little surprised given how highly I thought Ian thought of Grant, that he did this. But, all told it's not enough for a reject and we know these two can be trusted.

Murray or Hield. One below average athlete with good "court vision" that never displayed it in college. One average athlete who shoots decent.
Neither play defense and I think that Murray and Hield will struggle to stay on the court this year.
Jerian Grant was a reach last year and I think he's a reach for me here.
The way the real life draft played out really made this decision easy as a lot of guys I think NBA teams are sleeping on fell.

I feel like my lineup garners some comparison to the 80s Celtics:
Joel Embiid - Robert Parish Jabari Parker - Kevin McHale Ben Simmons - Larry Bird Jamal Murray - Danny Ainge Dante Exum - Dennis Johnson

He could be great, but you hear a lot of bad things about his attitude.

Honestly, I think it won't be easy for you to keep him. I'm glad I don't have to make that decision. Also there is no way Simmons survives at SF in the NBA without a jump shot. Anyway, great trade for the Celtics. I accept.

That calm down was meant for Ians player comparisons. Accidentally hit the wrong quote button.

As a person who prides himself in knowing about who to draft, I feel as though Ian is destroying Jeremiah in this trade.
The odds are in Ian's favor that there will be no one decent at 13 and beyond, as that is the weakness of this draft, it is not deep. And I feel like Murray is a top 3 player from this draft, I like him better than both Simmons and Ingram.
Grant is good and I think Hoidberg turns him in to a solid PG, but I don't think he has enough potential to hold Murray's Jockstrap

The rest of the draft is stronger than most years. There is much less separating pick 6 from pick 13 than there is in most years.
