Today Ray Allen meets with the Heat and the Clippers, could really up both teams a lot with the spacing he would give them.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski:
I'd prefer Dragic but he seems to be going back to Phoenix. I sure hope there is some protection on that pick. Top 10 or top 5 or something.
Not sure what Houston's plan is, they had two starting quality point guards and now might have zero.

It would b a risk in signing Lin anymore than the league minimum. I'm sure some idiot will, but mark my words...he will FAIL!!!

Lin just signed a 4 year 28.8 million dollar offer sheet with Houston. Slightly above the minimum I'd say.

The offer that Houston has put out is worth $30 for 4 years. I know if he signs the offer sheet NY will match but if I was NY I would hope he doesn't. It would be best for the Knicks if they can sign him to a different deal. If he does sign the offer sheet and NY matches because of the Arenas provision made during the lock out NY would be paying the $30 mill as follows; year 1: $5mill Year 2: $5.2mill year 3: $9.8mill year 4: $10mill. That would be crazy to pay Lin that much unless he vastly improves by year 3. Also it's messed up that teams can do that will restricted free agents, Houston is doing pretty much the same thing with Omer Asik. They offered him a 3 year $24.1 million deal and if the bulls match it will cost them around $14 million in the 3rd year

I saw it broken down like this:
yr 1 - $5 million yr 2 - $5.2 million yr 3 - $9.3 million yr 4 - $9.3 million Total - $28.8 million
Basically the same, either way it is poison pilled in the third year so it's as unattracitve to the Knicks as possible. They'll still match though.

He can't get that number yet. Calderon is still on the roster. I hope they trade him too, it would be a waste if he gets amnestied.

If he's struggling after 2 years, then in year 3 he's basically an expiring contract that can be used to get pieces. If he's going well, that 9.3 may not be so bad!

I think Dwight Howard is going to the nets. They already offered a 4 team trade.

Why do teams amnesty players in the last year of their contract? If another team is looking to get under the cap for the next year trade it. If your team is looking to be under next year, ride it out.

Well, if they amnesty a player in their last year, they'd only be paying him to not play for them for one year. Kinda makes sense for the 76ers, it would leave them about 26 Million under the cap, with around 20 Million more to move after the Nick Young signing, and around 14 Mill after resigning Spencer Hawes.
6ers just added more young talent, getting Dorrell Wright for just about nothing.

Rumours are that the Knicks are trading for Raymond Felton and will not match the offer sheet for Jeremy Lin.

Just while Mavs fans were preparing to lynch the Dallas Front Office, They go and make these moves:
-S&T'ed Ian Mahinmi for Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones -Signed Chris Kaman for 8m -Signed OJ Mayo for either 4m, or the Room Exception. That would be either 4m a year or 2.5m a year, with the 2nd a Team Option.
Not exactly the superstars they called for, but this is probably the most excited I've felt about a Mavs team in a long time. Mavs FO serving some really good crow.

Anthony Randolph Award (For the player whose great summer league will be a career highlight)
Morrison
Adam Morrison, Los Angeles Clippers
At this point, I'm rooting for Morrison to make an NBA roster and start realizing his dream of having a long career. He probably was never going to validate his draft position, but a knee injury early in his career really derailed everything for him. His scoring 20 points per game on 55.1 percent shooting in five games this week was nice to see.
Runner-up: Wes Johnson, Minnesota Timberwolves
