Off Season PreparationToday I have re-written the Off Season Free Agency Guide ahead of the upcoming Off Season. Also I'd like to announce that GM Jeremiah Hill will be the fifth Player Agent this Off Season and I will move into an overseer role for all player agents. Welcome to the team Jeremiah! A lot of changes have been suggested, especially in this D5PN thread, but in the end I felt only some minor changes were required: I do not think it was a good idea to discuss player personalities and make it a free-for-all. The onus will be on GMs making offers to point out personality traits they feel should be taken into account by a Player Agent. Transparency in the process will be much better this year: If a signing becomes contentious 1. I will be in an overseer role this year and can help and 2. a randomly selected, non-staffer GM will be brought into the mix for some signings. "Player Agents may use their own discretion whether to communicate how much you may need to pay a player. They may tell you an exact amount, or they may expect you to make an offer."
Bird Rights players are more likely to re-sign and tend to do so later in the OSFA process so that their team has a greater chance of signing other Free Agents, just like in real life (note: GMs must claim Bird Rights on their re-signing players before OSFA begins), although a prior signing can indeed still affect whether a Bird Rights player eventually re-signs.
