Pretty much ready to start boiling that shoe. The landscape of the East has changed somewhat since the previous season, now more than half of the conference is tanking – with our without their pick. The East is really in terrible shape now, and for the future. ORL, NYK, BOS, and ATL are flat out racing to the bottom. Boston and New York at least have multiple first rounders this year – could possibly finally be Ian’s year CLE, IND, DET, and WAS, are sadly in limbo. No pick, yet unlikely to make the playoffs. Between them, they have Porzingis, Russel, Portis, and (Millsap?). I think Detroit, barring a move which sees the departure of Millsap, is the only contender to fight Cleveland for that last playoff spot. Making that playoff spot could be really solid for Detroit when he makes pitches to players in the off-season.

I've hit rock bottom in the East for the first time this year which is weird because I actually thought the addition of Jabari Parker would make me a bit better.
Utah on their 17 game losing streak finally hit rock bottom of the entire league!

It's only luck that can help get you to the Finals. Plus LAC is lurking in 6th, they can make a run too. I'd like to move the city of Denver a thousand miles to the east.

Anyone even trying to compete with the top 5 teams in the west is crazy. Tanking is the only thing that makes sense. I could sign 4 max contract guys and still be worse off than a Denver or GSW. Trying to win games makes sense in real life because money, but here there is no glory getting swept in the playoffs, or narrowly missing the cut. That type of stuff is a recipe to become Sacramento.

You’re describing my pitch to free-agents this off-season LOL but yeah seriously, its absolutely absurd out West. I’m content here on the East where our top team is decimated by injuries and more than half are tanking. Toronto and to a lesser extent Chicago and Miami are still kinda scary out here, though.

Anything is possible once you make the playoffs. You can't just be a loser because you can't GM well enough to win. If I'm wrong prove it to me. Prove you don't have to tank. You always have so many opinions and things to say. Back that shit up. Show us you can GM a Winning Team!!

Only reason I went to get Collison (and I thank Brian for this line of thought) is to show Bledsoe (and Favors) how good this team can be, and IS being, by competing. And winning. And making the playoffs, even with Eric Bledsoe.
Otherwise, I would have made a few minor moves to be a little worse. But, that line of thought, I wanted to be as good as I could WITHOUT Bledsoe, and before guys like Okafor and WCS and some others get more rating increases (presuming a little bit here but I don't think most of my guys have maxed out yet on their ratings...McCollum too).
Anyway, look how this team is playing. We were playing great with Bledsoe, took a dive without him, added Collison and shot back up. Gimme Bledsoe back with all these guys developed further (higher ratings) and we're pushing into that upper echelon of the West before long.
Love you TWolves!

I don't care what's hard, I care what's most likely to work, and what gives me a window when the West will be weaker. You talk about "winning" but anyone knows that games don't mean shit. I'm going to win a ring.

I don't care what's hard, I care what's most likely to work Blowing up and rebuilding the team is the only true show of skill. There is one thing to "plan" like 12 contracts a year so you can sign someone like Marc Gasol, than it is to collect draft picks, do hundreds of hours of personal scouting and hit on your draft picks. One takes like 3 hours and the ability to make a good pitch or already be lucky enough to have a good team, while the other shows actual basketball knowledge. Rebuilding is the only fun way to play. But you also wanna do it the way with the most "skill"

For all you guys who keep saying 5 teams and everyone else is crazy, you might want to consider the Western conference team who has the 2nd longest win streak with 5 straight as well as being only 5.5 games out of 2nd in the very competitive West.
Keep sleeping on LAC...

If Adam wanted to, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to field a team better than yours. Everyone has their own strategy. Your way obviously isn't working so I'm not sure what gives you the right to criticize others' plans.

What's amazing is that, if we are talking about a top 6 teams in the West, there's going to be at least two first round matchup featuring them.
