Bobcats Trade:
77 Kris Humphries $8,000,000 74 Jamario Moon $103,403
Spurs Trade:
79 Anderson Varejao $7,950,000 $8,618,182 $9,286,364 $9,954,545 73 Toney Douglas $1,145,640 $2,067,880 $3,101,820
I have never really like Varejao. I think he is a big baby. I also believe he is overpaid. Humphries is overpaid as well, but I will be getting a guy putting up the same stats, but also a guy that I believe will play better in my system/style. I have always been a Moon fan. I think he as well will fit in my system better than Douglas. I do save cap, but thats not really why I am trading these two. I truly believe I will get better play all around from Hump and Moon.
As Gm of the Spurs I Accept...

I accept, i love Varejao, his hair is like mine and he's brazilian like me hahaha I truly believe that Varejao is still one of the best defensive centers on NBA and he's going to keep developing IRL even if he's 29, his stats show that, he's overpaid but i believe that he's going to continue growing IRL NBA. Toney Douglas is better and younger than Jamario Moon, plus, i'm trading Ronnie Price with the Kings, so Toney is going to be a nice backup to Kemba and Gordon.
My lineup after the trade: C - Biyombo PF - Varejao SF - Bogans SG - Gordon PG - Walker

Charlotte gets more long-term value, as I think Varejao is a pretty nice Center (or PF I suppose). I think Charlotte's frontline severely lacks a scoring punch, IRL anyway, but Defense is cool, Rodman will like it.
Spurs sheds salary and gets good players, really a solid trade both ways.
Accept.

With Kemba Walker and Ben Gordon combining over 50 points per game, i think we're fine with offense hahahaha

Anderson Varejao is a product of Lebron James, and I think this trade is going to come back to haunt Charlotte. For the next 3 seasons.
Whatever, I'll accept.

Varejao in his last year with LeBron 28:30 mpg / 57.2% FG / 8.6 ppg / 7.6 rpg / 1.1 apg / .9 bpg / .9 spg Varejao in 2 years w/o Lebron (both shortened due to injury, but they are 31 and 25 games, so it's a fairly legitimate sample) Year 1 (31 games) 32:06 mpg / 52.8% FG / 9.1 ppg / 9.7 rpg / 1.5 apg / 1.2 bpg / .9 spg Year 2 (25 games) 31:23 mpg / 51.4% FG / 10.8 ppg / 11.5 rpg / 1.7 apg / .7 bpg / 1.4 spg I'd say he's doing fine, or better w/o LeBron.

When Varejao is healthy, he's a double double guy who can block and defend on the post, plus, i think Toney Douglas is getting undervaluated here, he's only 26 and last season he started to develop a lot

I'm not saying he changes his relative skill level / production based on whether or not one particular individual perchance wears the same jersey colors as him. I'm saying the only reason anyone has heard of Varejao, and the only reason anyone cares about what he does in 2012 in the first place is because he played with Lebron in 2010, and Lebron's teams get a lot of attention. You know who put up more 13.8 points, 11 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 blocks, and .8 steals per game this season? And did it on a team that won more games than Cleveland? Kris Humphries- the dude Charlotte is trading away and no one has even mentioned yet in this thread. Because he was on the Nets. Not on a team that gets a ton of TV time... like the Heat.

I understand what you're getting at here, but for me anyway, I know who both of these guys are very well b/c I play fantasy basketball, and I don't even get to watch a ton of games, to be honest. Humphries has had a couple of very good seasons, I honestly thought he was the one people would know more about with that Kardashian crap. Plus, Humphries expires, while Varejao has a large contract, so I think the need to "justify" Varejao was a lot higher than the need to talk about Humphries. Just my take.

I also accept. Varejao could be a product of Lebron but Kris Humphries isn't so great either.
Trade passed.
