Im doing this trade because it brings multiple young players to my team. These guys are legit players playing in the NBA and im getting them without drafting. I also acquire 3 2nd round draft picks to use in the next few years to continue building. I was not going to spend money to resign Thaddeus Young who is expiring. We traded for Ginobili in the hopes of landing a decent big man to make a run at a spot in the playoffs. Ive talked with most gms and thats not happening anytime soon. So instead of using Manu and keeping the chance of a ring, we have decided to use him to acquire youth. We do acquire one vet star in Paul Pierce who is in decline and one season away from retiring. We hope that we can use his vet experience to trade him for even more future pieces. In all we gain youth and picks and we accept the trade with Philly wishing them the best in a weak Eastern Conference where anything is possible. He adds depth and saves on cap while giving up picks to go all in to win. Wishing my guys the best and welcoming the future.

I'm actually surprised that Philly wants to make this deal, mostly because of Cameron Payne's inclusion. I accept though.

Didn't JR just say he wants Manu to retire a Spur?
Seriously, how can we believe anything this guy says. Hey Free Agents, if you want to go sign with a team that tells you a bunch of things, and then does the complete opposite, go to the Spurs!!!

Doing this to position myself deeper into the playoffs. And to get ready for OSFA. Payne has been a great addition for OKC on and off the court, but I still have enough 1st round picks whenever I decide to switch it up and rebuild Have lots of things I want to say here but nevermind, just wanna go all out this year with or without Chris Bosh. I accept. #FreeJR
