OKC Trades:75 Jared Dudley $4,250,000 71 Terry Rozier $1,025,700 $1,071,800 $1,118,000 $2,013,518 $2,957,858 2016 1st Round Pick (Oklahoma City Thunder) Total: $5,275,700 MIN Trades:78 Iman Shumpert $3,695,169 76 DeMarre Carroll $490,180 $490,180 Total: $4,185,349 This trade does take me over the cap for this season - however! The 125% rule which includes an additional $100,000 which makes this work. $4,185,349 x 1.25 = $5,231,686 + $100,000 = $5,331,686 > $5,275,700 which means the trade works. www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm - #84. Per the NBA's rule, I could actually take on 150% but we have only ever done the 125%, but we have done the + 100K before as part of that.
Basically, I'd like to get Jae Crowder in my starting lineup. And I'd still have Roberson as a backup, plus a guy like Early who can soak up some bench minutes if needed. I shouldn't really lose anything in my starting lineup, I get a backup/project PG, plus I get a 1st. Dudley is OTB when the trade passes lol.

Seems like a lot to give up for Iman Shumpert. Carrol should probably be on injured reserve given that he hasn't played in over a month and reportedly can't even cut yet and has only played like 20 games.

Unabashed total dick move but I will give a better offer for that pick and Terry Rozier.

This trade is pretty garbage but I doubt it gets moved in to the reject pile.
Why give up a 1st and last year's 1st rounder for not one of the guys on BRs? Plus Carrol shouldn't be playing, as Jeremiah said, that needs fixed and will be fixed as this trade progresses.
So for Shumpert? I don't think he is worth any of that. A pick is still a pick. You never know what rookie is going to turn in to the next Damian Lillard or Isaih Thomas.

And, I have another offer of a 1st for Carroll sitting out there from another good team. Rozier is the piece that makes me choose okc over that other team. Shumpert gives more depth to a championship contending team and slightly counters Rozier value, especially for this year of course.

But he gets the best players out of this deal. The downside is they aren't on good contracts. How likely is it that Rozier and that first aren't as good as Shump and Carrol? Pretty likely. But still have to say they have potential, because they do. Plus a lot of people don't realize that Carrol is almost 30 (like Mozgov) and he's coming off a major knee injury and having trouble doing so. It isn't that he has knee problems, but because its so late in his career, can he heal quickly and completely and adjust?

I don't like that OKC is giving up a first and a rook for a pair of injured rentals, but I don't think it's bad enough to reject either since OKC's pick should be pretty low.
Sooo yeah,Accept.

I also think there's no way OKC wins this deal, but it's not bad enough to reject. I accept.

I messaged Kevin, not sure where he is.
We went through 2+pages of chatting over weeks or a month+ to get this figured out finally haha. Hopefully he gets on to agree soon.

Aw man, this is a big-ass bummer. I forgot about this. We really did go back and forth on this for ages. I kind of think Kevin explained it somewhere, but don't remember where, now.
