Portland will trade 79- Manu Ginobili $6,160,500 $6,838,155 2018 2nd rd pick for San Antonio Spurs 78- Alec Burks $4,175,274 75- Spencer Hawes $2,000,000 $2,000,000 $2,000,000This is my first trade since joining D5 I accept.. I really like Burks hess been very good lately and even though he's a 1 year rental he'll be an important piece in our quest for championship. Hawes is just add in to make the salaries work and he will be a very good back up for PF\C position JR Wiles

Sorry Brandon I know this is your first trade but... WHY would the Spurs want to do this trade?! Burks at least has upside and could be re-signed. Hawes has serviceable years in him. Ginobili just got decreased. His career is ending. JR Wiles - WHY!? edit: it just makes me angry to see this trade. The Spurs are finally doing ok. They're 8th Seed in the West! Leave it alone!!

Not going to lie I think this is bad for Portland Since he's first place in the West! I think manu is also hurt and should be out for awhile

I really like Ginobili. Even with his age he has always been a top 6th man candidate yearly. Burks won't resign in SA. He will want a starting job and we won't be offering him that now or later. Yes we are rebuilding. We would like him to retire a Spur. We would love Timmy to do the same but sometimes it just can't work out that way. we accept the trade. it won't hurt the team and Ginobili will most likely finish his career with us. Best of luck to both outgoing guys.

I'm going to adjust my lineup with the trade before approval since I don't have internet access a lot.

How does JR just know thT Burkes won't resign? I mean if anything it seems like the exact type of team a player like Burkes would sign to.

Accept, I guess. I hate to let JR start on this road again, but it doesn't quite suck bad enough to reject.
