Either way the whole damn thing is stupid and shouldn't happen again. While in D5 I've never seen players signed in the offseason traded before Dec 15 (outside of maybe a few real life days) and certainly not as many as happened here. Leuer playing for the Pacers before he should have is evidence to the confusion and stupidity it causes to have 15 or so players in limbo for months on end.

So, now you are blaming Adam? "Nikola wanted to go to a low pressure situation where he could take his time and grow with the team, and while many of the teams in the running had good young cores, we felt that the Jazz presented the best combination of young talent and immediate success. He's excited to join Tyreke, Jrue and Hassan to eventually contend for a title." I don't see promises in there. Just a weather forecast. Same thing happened with Motiejūnas and he was in the trade block before season even started. Magic made promises to Motiejūnas and I think he signed with another team based on assumptions. Not saying assumptions are wrong. Just pointing out that there were no promises. At least, that is how I see it. A lot of Adam's selling point was that he was the future and shit, it's not like I'd post the entire negotiations on the signing post. Heck his messages had Tyreke and Jrue in his pitch before he shipped 'em. This was Adam's first OSFA so it's not like he had a track record of bs'ing that I could base off and say that I thought he was full of it. As for Donuts, as I told you before: The Pelicans promised Donuts a starting spot as well. As for it being a late offer, they threw in an offer a day after you did, and actually opened with a much larger contract. I can't really do much about about what you guys do with your FAs after OSFA outside of keep watch of starting promises, but your treatment of your guys comes into account to a certain extent in future free agencies. As for Scal's track record - his only previous OSFA move was signing Collison who's still on his team right now.

I made an amendment to the Trade Regulations that applies from now onwards: "Trades that include OSFA signings before December 15th will be automatically rejected."
