When was Seth added. I've been trying to get him since last season and before but he wasn't created or ready.

I also announced it in the Shoutbox.

I also announced it in the Shoutbox. Many of us use phones, doesn't show up on the mobile version of the site. This is another reason why the players we add in-season should probably only be allowed to sign 1 year deals, in my opinion.

Or at least be announced in a Media Center post that makes it seems like the players created have been just going off in the D5 d-league.

Ian did make a post in the Free Agent list. I guess people just don't check. That's on JR. That being said, I do like Jeremiah's idea. Would be fun!
And I still think it's unfair in some way to have a guy just get added midseaon and now he's locked up somewhere for 4 years. Feels weird to me. Not realistic.

Lol, its gonna be a bad contract to be honest. Anyone watch the game last night. Seth Curry isn't good. He'll never even be rotation worthy in my opinion. He looks like Steph so people guard him out to three but there isn't any other reason.

Blow your load on that guy in the offseason to trade eventually, or wait and take a chance at an emergence in season. Why take out more strategic decisions from the game we play? As long as it's fair for everyone (it is) then it should be embraced.

well, how many teams entered the season with cap space? A lot! Exactly. The people who dont have cap space need to stop acting like it's not their fault.

Salary Cap
2015/16: $70,000,000
---------------------
Teams under $70M: 16 out 30.
Plus, pretty much every team got the full MLE available: $5,464,000.

As long as it's fair for everyone (it is) then it should be embraced. I don’t think Walt was talking about cap space being the issue here. It’s because sometimes, player creations like Seth go under the radar when they are added to the game. This isn’t even something that can just be corrected by being more active which is a whole other debate but even if a GM is active 50/52 weeks and a player like Seth ( who this GM may have been actively trying to sign) gets created and signed to a four year contract in just one or two days? There should either be a waiting period or a restriction on contract length to be fair to GMs who 1) either just got unlucky with the timing and notice of the player creation or 2) don’t have the ability to be active every single day. I anticipate the rebuttal that the GM should just be more active, and that the signing is the reward for high activity, but as I already addressed – just being very briefly inactive or even just oblivious to the fact that this player was created if only for just two days can still cost you that player for four years.

well, if that is the issue it is very simple. News (December 25th): Starting in January 5, Seth Curry will be available in the FA list.

James definitely hit on one of the issues.
Another: In-Season player additions to the game haven't even been discussed. If we had just declared: Players may be added to the game at any time. I would be OK, more or less. But it's very random, and has gone through some briefly discussed things where we were talking about only adding new players in the offseason, then Ian accidentally added Whiteside Midseason last year, now these guys go in. I just want it declared so anyone could at least know this might happen.
Cap space really isn't what I'm talking about. It just seems unfair to me that no one knew these players would get added during the season, so they couldn't even necessarily be expected to have planned for these players being added.
I'd like a post just declaring that players may be added at any time. Then the post like Ian did, that's fine. Then either a limit on length of contract or a brief moratorium before they can be signed.
