Kyle Lowry Stats
21.6 points per game (compared to 17.8 points per game) 2.5 steals per game (compared to 1.6 per game) 6.3 Assists per game (compared to 6.8 per game) 5.0 Rebounds per game (compared to 4.7 per game) 88.3% FT% per game (compared to 80.8% per game) 41.0 3p% per game (compared to 80.8% per game) 42.7 FG% per game (compared to 41.2% per game)
Other than Assists, Lowry's numbers are up and by far the best player for the raptors this year. I would even argue he is one of the best PG in the East.
Currently Lowry is ranked 86, Wall, Lillard and Irving all ranked higher here in D5.
Asking: 90
He is very underrated PG, since he does play in Canada, does not get much recognition.

I'd kind of like to peak at his ratings. Even with improvements, I feel like an 87 or 88 just feels too high. I'll look at it though.

Hmm.
He's got room on his FT, 3PT, Steal, maybe a little rebound, for increases.
That said, FG rating could be slightly high, same with his passing actually, 6apg may not be worth the high rating he has.
All that said, I'll go 88 and think it will work pretty well with the ratings he has right now.

Lowry is not a 90. He's awesome, he's the Raptors best player for sure, but he's not a legitimate franchise player that can carry a team just by themselves. Since losing weight in the offseason, he should be able to stay at this level all season though and not drop off and fade like last year.
I'll give an 88.

Is there an individual rating for taking boneheaded contested shots in important situations? Lowry deserves a 99 in that. It how the Raptors lost the Warriors game too, iirc.

wall Lilliard and Irving ranked better than Lowry?
Sounds about right. Anyone else think Lowry has finally taken the next step after 10 years or is he just starting hot like he and the raptors do every year?
86 until he posts he numbers in the OP for a whole season.

Going to compare some of the advanced statistics of some of the top guards. Player | Rating | VORP | Box Plus Minus | Offensive +- | Defensive +- | WS/48 | Kyrie Irving 2015 | 87 | 3.7 | 3.3 | 4.7 | -1.4 | .183 | Damian Lillard | 87 | 1.3 | 3.0 | 5.1 | -2.0 | .143 | John Wall | 88 | 1.1 | 3.2 | 3.3 | -0.1 | .102 | Chris Paul | 92 | 1.0 | 3.6 | 4.8 | -1.2 | .189 | Russell Westbrook | 93 | 3.0 | 11.5 | 9.1 | 2.4 | .277 |
Kyle Lowry is currently an 86. His VORP is 2.5, BPM is 8.0, OBPM is 6.5, DBPM 1.5 and WS/48 is .212 When I went on this little journey I was trying to show why Lowry doesn't need a boost. His defense is significantly better than all these guys except Russell Westbrook. I think that he deserves to be at least as good as Kyrie. I was against Kyrie being rated that highly in the first place although his DWS is actually good which makes you wonder about his DBPM but either way I think that defensively Lowry makes up for some of his shortcomings. Personally I say keep him the same and lower Lillard and Paul and probably a few more guys (Wall if he doesn't fix his current slump this year).
