I never thought he was worth his 84 rating. This has been his best year by far though, maybe he's actually worth it this time. He's averaging close to 17, 7 and 5. He's got a low FG% but almost half his attempts are threes. It's still only been 23 games though this year, he could regress a bit, but he's mostly the reason Charlotte has a good record right now. Whatever.

Another example of what I have been saying for the last few days. We downgraded him because we put a value on his performance last season. Let us evaluate skills rather than put a rating on their current performance.
Nough said.

Can't believe Barber is starting an increase thread on Nic Batum.
Which level of hell did I just feel freeze over? :-)
85 - Batum's the shit!

His numbers are 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists. 42.4% FG, 39.4% 3FG.
This is the interesting number guys. 23.5 usage rate. Third behind Walker and Al Jef. His FGA increases which proves that he has a bigger role in the offense of CHA compared in POR. With a bigger role, his efficiency improves. Specially his outside shooting.
His 22.0% Assist% is second in their team. Defensive skills do not deteriorate that fast.
Great Defense + Great Passing + High IQ + Average in other skills = 83 for me, conservative for now.
