One-game assistant coaches? Instant success! Bobcats lose to the Raptors by only 2 and then defeat the Nuggets by 17!
In one of the best creations to the basketball since... Well, basketball, the Charlotte Bobcats inovated with the one-game assistant coaches, where celebrities and basketball enthusiasts had the chances to be coaches for one day and try to help the Charlotte Bobcats in their NBA run.
It worked almost instantly! On their first game, with Gene Simmons on the bench, the Bobcats started on fire, heading to the lockers on the half time winning by 55-49, however, with Gene Simmons and the KISS doing a half-time show in the sold out Time Warner Cable Arena, the Bobcats struggled when they came back and ended up defeated by only 2 points after Raptors 6th man Gilbert Arenas scored with 2.8 seconds left, Arenas put on a show and ended with 21 points and 7 assists in only 27 minutes, reminding everyone about the Agent Zero era.
On the Bobcats, the main player was Kemba Walker, with 29 points and 9 assists.
Against the Denver Nuggets, the Bobcats brought Hulk Hogan to bring some of the 'Hulkamania' to Charlotte. It couldn't have worked better, cutting a promo on the backstage before the game, Hogan was able to put the Bobcat players on total fire, they ended up the 1st quarter winning by 33-23 and went to half time with 65 points against 51 of the Nuggets. Another excellent speech given by Hogan and the Bobcats played extremely hard defense on the 3rd quarter, allowing Denver to do only 13 points and increasing their lead to 85-64. The Denver couldn't do much and Bobcats played the entire 4th quarter with their bench players, holding on the lead and taking the best-played win so far.
Star of the game was (outside of Hulk Hogan) Bismack Biyombo, who scored 28 points and after the game said he was 'still on fire' after what Hogan said. After the game, Lucas Lutkus and Michael Jordan announced who's going to Brooklyn with them to be their next Celebrity Assistant Coach:
RIC FLAIR!
Keeping on the Pro Wrestling Legends, the next Guest Assistant Coach for the Bobcats is Ric Flair, a Charlotte resident who's known for his 'WOOOOOOOOOO' shout and his awesome ring and promo skills.
Is Flair going to have the same success that Hogan had and Charlotte's going to defeat the Brooklyn? Well, let's wait and see!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
