F - Jabari Parker
Player Statistics:
Drafted: 2014 1st round (2nd pick) by the Utah Jazz (2014 Draft)
Joined: June 27th, 2015 from the Utah Jazz (trade thread)
2014/15 - A mere 3 games into his rookie season Jabari Parker tore his ACL and missed the rest of his debut campaign for the Jazz. Prior to injury Parker led the charge for rookie of the year rankings in real life for the Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics acquired Parker on June 27th by trading the 4th and 11th picks in the 2015 Draft (Justise Winslow and Frank Kaminsky).
2015/16 - Parker exploded out of the gates in his first game with the Celtics scoring 34pts and 9reb in his debut and quickly established himself as the leader of the team throughout his first proper season, not only recovering from his ACL injury but improving. In real life Jabari's performance reached new levels after the All Star Break as he also became a leading figure for the Bucks and the most important player on the Celtics roster, leading the team in scoring and blocks and cementing himself a place as one of the new long-term faces of the Boston Celtics.
2016/17 - The young Celtics finally lifted themselves out of the league's cellar in 2016/17. Parker led the new trio in Boston's frontcourt with an underrated Joel Embiid (78) and steadily increasing Enes Kanter (81) producing a promising number of wins for such a young team. Leading Boston in scoring, in a close loss to the Spurs on December 8th, Parker notched his career high with a huge 48 point outburst that placed him 4th in the League in scoring. Jabari's level of play went from strength to strength for the Bucks in real life and he saw a rating increase from 81 to 83 mere days before the crushing moment he yet again tore the same ACL that caused him to miss most of his rookie year. The news devastated the D5 Celtics as Parker took his place in a long line of potentially franchise changing prospects to be sidelined, this time for an entire 12 month period.
2017/18 - It was 51 weeks until Jabari returned in the 2017/18 season, long enough to earn him a rating decrease to 82 after only 22 real-life games played. Jabari managed to start the majority of his games for the D5 Celtics despite heavy pressure for frontcourt minutes from Jaylen Brown, Brandon Ingram and veterans Joe Ingles and Dwight Howard.
