82 Tyreke Evans $13,265,416 $12,734,586 $12,203,755 $12,000,000
for
2018 DET 1st 2016 CLE 2nd 2016 NYK 2nd 2019 DET 2nd 76 Samuel Dalembert $5,000,000 $5,000,000
I accept. The Tanking is complete. I now have no one over 80.
Detroit, on the other hand gives away a pick that may never see the light of day, and is of questionable value, and a couple 2nds for a player that had a career year last year and is going from the 28th paced offense in the league to the system that had turned Nash and now Curry & Thompson into stars. All while being of a ridiculously great contract given how free agency has gone so far.
Win/Win

Somewhat similar to the Lakers trade on the board. The worst case for Detroit is that they just used their 2018 1st Rounder on Tyreke Evans who still won't be that old by then.
Best case, they got someone locked up long-term that they can use to bring in more talent. Maybe Rondo will actually want to stay there now? Faried too?
But this makes sense to me, I just hope Detroit keeps making smart moves and this doesn't turn into a "JR Wiles" (old JR) trade where that pick is absolute gold in a few years
Approved from me

Does no one else think Detroit is going down a dangerous path? Always risky trading future picks when you aren't a locked on top team but he drastically improves the shape and direction of his franchise here and I'm not even a huge Tyreke fan per se. Plus he doesn't own his pick this year (not Ghazny's fault) so he wants to win and this should keep him motivated to win because he trades away another pick (though at least this one is 3 years away). And Tyreke has BR's for Detroit, and the East is still kind of weak, and Detroit's current team after this trade actually has a chance to do something. Can't blame him for not wanting to wait forever to be competitive in some way.

Im not that good in scouting rookies and rookie players are not gauranteed becoe good or bust. There is a minimum chance that a rookie player will be the same path of AD,LBJ and etc. If time will come and my 2018 pick will me regret this trade i will never complain and blame my action.this is sports and reality risk is everywhere.

In basketball leagues, if your not competing and at least winning games.. The league gets old and boring! I'm not sure what Det is doing or what his plan is. I do see him adding vets, but I see many other gms doing this as well. It's part of the game. He has the cap to sign players, and as long as its not long term contracts or interfering with future FA cap money oh well. I am sure Det is at the point where he just wants to win. The difference in Det and what I was trying to do, is that I had the talent when I was trading all my picks to get better and deepen my bench. I had Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. I went all in to win it all but lost. It happens. But its been a long process since then. Losing is not fun. And you use to be able to win games with vet players...before the stock watch!! I say as long as a gm is active and is the type of gm to stick it out and keep with his team even through the bad times...let him do his thing. I've actually enjoyed going from contender, to pretender, to the rebuilding process. I have lots of work to do, but even so I think my picks are fine and I'm still on the right path to get back to the playoffs and make it to the finals in the next 3 years or so. SA is a great market and as soon as we have the cap...We WILL bring in a few top tier FAs!! Until then I'm just going to have fun...and win as much as possible...All WITH OUT Tanking.... My way...

I should have give an around of applause if at least two guys have shown that they are worth it in the upcoming draft. Unfortunately only Ben S. is the real deal.

Now I've got an issue with this. When we negotiate with a agent, we need to define the players roles on the team amongst other things. Adam got the Mirotic signing based on the strength of his team. Now that's he's gotten him, he's jettisoned two of the players (Jrue and now Evans) who were mentioned as positives in the signing in favor of a hard tank.
We've had a discussion on teams trading away players to be able to bring in talent in the case with Milwaukee bringing in Gasol. Is there not a problem with baiting in talent with your roster then removing those same peices when the player has signed?
And for the record I'm not advocating that Adam lose Mirotic, just bringing this up for discusion. I can live with losing a player to a team that was clearly head and shoulders better then mine, losing him out to this iteration of the Utah Jazz, not so much.

Danny did mention "immediate success" as well as playing with Jrue and Tyreke in his reasoning to sign with Utah, but now Utah has announced he is tanking and he traded them both away..
