This was a tough decision! After negotiations with up to 5 teams, we were down to 3 as of today.
The Hornets - Charlotte offered good money and long-term stability. Their team looks very good, and Al was interested in joining them and growing with the team. The lack of a starting spot ended up being the difference.
The Nets - Brooklyn was in on Al from the very beginning. Mr. Barber owned him in Utah and wanted him back now that he's in Brooklyn, he wanted to bring Al back. Overall, due to the level of commitment shown, this ended up as our 2nd choice. And it was a very difficult decision!
The Pelicans - They've also been interested in Al for a good chunk of this OSFA process. They ultimately offer the most up front money and a chance to start (Note: Not a promised starting position but as of now Al is their Starting PF) which, coupled with the large up front money, was a chance for Al to bet on himself and try to earn a lot of money here.
Thank you to all the bidders, Al is going to take the money and bet on himself to get the Pelicans to pick up that 3rd year TO. He's excited to help the Pelicans win!

Ian Noble: Actually that's one area where Live 06 works perfectly - you can directly set the % of shots a player takes from 3PT range.

Reggie Miller: That has been the sim engine of choice of most leagues I've been to. I believe its issue is that it isn't calibrated to the pace and three-point frequency of today's game. Unless we ramp up everyone's speed and outside shooting.

Alex English: NBA Live 06. We're stuck using something that old because the new games don't output the needed data files to get scores, stats, standings, etc.

Reggie Miller: If I may know, what's the sim engine we are using?

Ian Noble: I'm already pretty sure I know what needs to be done, I just need to run through testing so we can get the maths right to correct it

Ian Noble: fwiw sorting out Giannis/Ben Simmons/Westbrook underperformance is my number 1 task during downtime

Jerry West: Yeah, if the sim was in anyway realistic I would be D5 champ given how Joe Ingles dealt with D5 finals MVP in the playoffs

Tom Izzo: It's a reflection of poor sim mechanics from a game that's 15 years old

Tom Izzo: Imagine having the 1st overall pick and 4 starters go in the first 3 rounds and barely being over .500 and losing in the 1st round 😭😭😭
