This was a tough decision! After negotiations with up to 5 teams, we were down to 3 as of today.
The Hornets - Charlotte offered good money and long-term stability. Their team looks very good, and Al was interested in joining them and growing with the team. The lack of a starting spot ended up being the difference.
The Nets - Brooklyn was in on Al from the very beginning. Mr. Barber owned him in Utah and wanted him back now that he's in Brooklyn, he wanted to bring Al back. Overall, due to the level of commitment shown, this ended up as our 2nd choice. And it was a very difficult decision!
The Pelicans - They've also been interested in Al for a good chunk of this OSFA process. They ultimately offer the most up front money and a chance to start (Note: Not a promised starting position but as of now Al is their Starting PF) which, coupled with the large up front money, was a chance for Al to bet on himself and try to earn a lot of money here.
Thank you to all the bidders, Al is going to take the money and bet on himself to get the Pelicans to pick up that 3rd year TO. He's excited to help the Pelicans win!
Year 1: $10,000,000 YeaR 2: $10,000,000 Year 3 : $11,100,000 TO Year 4: $12,321,000
Total: $43,421,000

Really excited for Mr. Aminu to join the team though the Team option definatly lets us be more secure in this signing

Sad day for me. I would have had Al on bird rights if I didn't switch teams. Guess that's what I get
