Los Angeles ClippersDeAndre Jordan will re-sign with the Clippers. He agrees to a 6 year contract worth $159,285,862. The third through sixth years are player options. Year 1 - $20,130,000 Year 2 - $22,344,300 Year 3 - $24,802,173 (PO) Year 4 - $27,530,412 (PO) Year 5 - $30,558,757 (PO) Year 6 - $33,920,220 (PO) DeAndre received some good offers, and he considered them, but the Clippers are a contending team and he has been with them for his entire career. Carmelo has returned and we here Tony Parker is close to returning too. DeAndre is exciting to be back. Thank you to everyone who was interested in him.

Not saying this is the wrong choice… but just find it interesting the clippers are still together. They made it to the finals in 2012-2013, but missed the playoffs in 2013-2014, and got swept in the first round in 2014-2015. With all the big name BRs players returning to their respective teams, it seems like everyone in D5 is Tim Duncan…except Tim Duncan.

I agree very strange everyone stayed given disappointment last 2 years Mike had no luck with injuries. Still, they got a very solid team for next season.

Last season was far from a disappointment. Quite the contrary.
We set our franchise record for wins with Melo missing significant time. Yes we were swept in the playoffs but without Melo, we knew it would be hard to compete against the better teams.
The 1 year (out of the last 4) we missed the playoffs we dealt with injuries as well and only missed it by 1 game. We have also averaged 49 wins per seasoon over the last 4.
Just setting the record straight as far as the Clippers recent accomplishments.
Oh, and welcome back DeAndre! We are very excited to have our franchise center locked up for the next couple of years!

These player options are ridiculous... its starting to get very unrealistic. We have a bunch of joke contracts coming out of this offseason. I agree actually. But when the cap is changing so much and the market is extremely hard to predict, player options hold way more value than normal. Being in the position as player agent part of the job is to get the best deal for players. So option years can make a big difference with the top guys. It's also not like this is the first time it's happened. Tristan Thompson signed a deal where every year but the first was a player option a few years ago. I agree it is a bit of a problem though. I think changing the rules to only allow one player/team option for each contract would be a good idea.

Deandre Jordan has more player options than Wall and LMA's combined.
