I'm doing this for obvious reasons as we are trying to defend our title next year. Jarrett Jack is going to be better than anyone/help us more than anyone we could get at #45 and Perkins is essentially useless on my team at this point. Bringing in Jarrett Jack gives us some insurance going into Free Agency as well.

I get a pick to add some youth to my team. Kendrick Perkins is a tough interior defender who will help bring some defensive intensity to my team. I also get to trade Jarret Jack who I have been shopping for a while.
Looking to change the direction of my team, and this will help me do that.

This trade may have favored Golden State.
I got to add a young guy, and cut $6.2 mil off my salaries at the end of the year.
I know there's a big salary cap push coming for probably 1 year next offseason, so this could help me out a lot then.
