The main issue I can foresee occurring from the rules, as I've written them so far, is that GMs may go nuts quoting hundreds of different sources at each other, in which case I suppose we establish the CBS Sports website as the decider or I make a call either way.

Pthis source is much better than CBS, i suggest using it: www.donbest.com/nba/injuries/

Seems alright. I'd recommend not using CBS though, I think someone else brought it up but it kinda sucks. I think Rotoworld would probably be better: www.rotoworld.com/teams/injuries/nba/all/Also because it's a fantasy site they'll have a lot more interest in getting timelines right for the length of injuries whereas CBS probably just wants to report them and nothing more.

Is this for just this season or are there plans to consider changes for the next season?

Only has active teams Yes... inactive teams don't have any new injuries. It would suit our purposes in the upcoming season, just not retroactively for this year.

This one rule could maybe use a small modification - When there is one month left at the end of the regular season injuries listed as "Out for Season" will be checked for their severity, and if in doubt ignored, because "Out for season" will not necessarily mean an injury is severe enough to warrant being added to the injury list at this time. Shouldn't it be when there are 6 weeks left at the end of the regular season instead of one month, since our timeline is 6 weeks?

Thanks Walt I'll edit that when I get a moment.

I hope you can add this..
- a player is also considered injured if he is out for four weeks already and still "out indefinitely".
I also second roto as the main source.
