We would like to announce that Jeff has signed with Houston for the following contract: 2011/2012: $5,000,000 (MLE) 2012/2013: $5,000,000 (PO) Total: $10,000,000 We felt like Houston offered us the best combination of money and playing time (starting role). We thank all the teams that were interested in my client's service.

How is a 10M 2-yr contract better than a: 1st year: $6,000,000 2nd Year: $5,340,000 3rd Year: $4,752,600 (TO) + A starting role?

Second, that third year team option is deadly for him, he should probably be back to normal in a year or two and he wouldn't even have the chance to test the free agent market when hes's fully healthy. IMO I would never accept that deal if I was Jeff Green's agent.

IMO I would never accept that deal if I was Jeff Green's agent. That's true too. Assuming he comes back and is healthy, he would make a lot more than 4.75 mil. The third year is probably a negative in that offer.

The PO makes a big difference. However, If Jeff Green would have asked for an improved offer from Bobcats, we probably would have given it to him. I guess he really didn't want to be a Bobcat.
