Finally healthy for most of the season, after so many knee injuries, he just no longer has the quickness that made him such a beast in LA.
All he does is spot up shoot.
13.2 ppg, 3.8 apg, 2.6 rpg
However, he is making 40% from the field, and 45% from 3 point.
Recent rating thread comparisons: Tyreke Evans (17-6-5): 82 Victor Oladipo (17-4-4): 79
Rating 81 Suggested Rating 78

Recent rating thread comparisons: Tyreke Evans (17-6-5): 82 Victor Oladipo (17-4-4): 79 #1) Oladipo should just get raised up a little higher #2) Evans shoots the 3 15% (15%!) worse than Gordon, plus, I haven't checked but I'm sure Gordon has him on FT% by quite a bit (looks like over 10%). That would be nearly a full rating point advantage to Gordon on FT% and probably 3-4 rating points on 3PT alone that would go to Gordon, so that offsets quite a bit of Evans' REB/AST advantage. You may value those REB or AST more highly than FT% or 3PT%, but in the ratings they are still each just 4 separate categories that carry the same weight as each other in OVR rating. In addition, Gordon just isn't asked to carry the same weight anymore. I agree he's not the same guy who put up 22 / 3 / 4.5 with 1+ steals while shooting 45% FG, 36% from 3, and 83% from the line in his last year in LAC, but he also put up 17 shots a game that season. That dropped to 15.6, then 13.9, then 12.8, and now 11.3. His overall FG% has also gone down in that time, but his 3pt% over the past 3 years has gone from 32.4 - 39.1 - 44.7% so he's an interesting case when considering all of this! How about Korver as a rating comparison? All of that said... I'd put Gordon at a 79.5.

He doesn't take as many shots because he can't create as many.

I actually really like Gordon and think he is capable of an 82. With that being said, besides AD in N.O., there are a lot of 2nd-3rd option type guys. You have Anderson, Evans, Holiday, even Asik, and Gordon. I think his stats are low because he has become a smart player. He knows he is exceptionally well at shooting the 3, and the guys on his team are better at other things, so why should he do anything besides spot up for 3's?
I like him at an 80, he's a better JJ Redick, imo.
