What? Why are these contracts happening again? One of two things is true here: 1. This is not considered a minimum contract and the only thing we will consider a minimum contract from now on is this: $507,336 - $507,336 If this is true then Indiana can't make this signing because they are over the cap. 2. This is considered a minimum contract. If this is true then this deal has to be reduced to 2 years. This current contract is not legal. Ian Noble why did this same contract for Raymond Felton go through? It doesn't make sense and I wouldn't know the correct thing to do if someone made an offer like this to a player I'm the agent for. It is possible as Sam Bowie brought up in the Felton thread that if this isn't a minimum contract anymore then the Pacers can use part of their MLE. But that hasn't been said anywhere and Felton isn't on the MLE page: dynasty5ive.proboards.com/thread/4857/mid-level-exception-2014-15

I really think that when a signing is officialized, the exception used should be mentioned whether it is the minimum exception or the MLE exc. or cap space exc.
Also, it would be ideal if there is an numbered index for rules concerning contract length, annual increase/decrease and $ offered that agents should quote.
Say for example: Rule #2: Minimum contract is restricted to 2-years deals.
Then, Players x signs with team x for: Year 1: $x ... Year n: $x Total: $x in accordance to Rules #,#,# using the x exception.

There were a few teams that used their mle already to sign a player for one year and a high contract just to use as trade bait. Get things up to date beforehand.
