I feel like this fills a hole that we have at the three, we have PG's a plenty: Shroeder, Goodwin, Lin. Burks is out, so he doesn't do anything for us. We get one of my favorite guys in the league and a draft pick plus we'll save ~$4,000,000 this off-season with a good young core and lots of potential, so I feel like we could make a splash for a guy or two. I see how this hurts us, I see how this helps us, but you gotta risk it to get the biscuit.  |

We will showcase Alec next season when he comes back from his injury. It will be a contract year and we see him coming back with something to prove. We fill a much needed position as well. We feel like we are getting a good deal here and hope Trey picks his game up another level. We need to bring in young talent to let future FAs understand we are rebuilding into a winning team. It's really Tobias Harris for Trey Bruke for this season.
I like this for JR since Trey Bruke is a great PG to build around and i understand why Blake does this because of his surplus of PGs.
Next season JR will get back Alec back for 1 season which is good for him and Magic get a future pick. Maybe Blake could of got more for Alec but i don't see it as a deal breaker here since he is injured right now.

Orlando and I have been talking a trade for Trey for a long time. He's a big fan of Harris and wants him to fill that that position on his team for not just a short term thing but long term. He has rebuilt that team into a young talented squad that's not far from competing. He is close already. But I'm sure he wants his best team that he as a GM has acquired to take over winning in the East. He wanted Harris before I gave him a pick. I added one so it was fair for a one year rental on a guy that might not work out or be a future guy that we need because of Trey. But we are rebuilding as well and we are not getting rid of our better picks or players Just as He would not in talks. He wanted Harris to be part of the Magic and I am rebuilding with as much positive talent as possible.
