Wait on this guy, he just started starting, and had a couple great games followed by a couple stinkers. He has already played 47 games, IMO, that should be enough to adjust him for now.. If he produce more in the near future, we can change his rating again.

I'm gonna stand strong with my stance that we should wait until the end of this season to change Rookies. That doesn't mean I don't think he deserves a decrease, but I just think it's safest overall to wait for all rookies until after the season is through.

Agree with Jhill, yes it is. I could use lack of evidence is not evidence for the same thing. Why should he be a 77 when there is no evidence of what he can do at the NBA level?

Just to add something to this discussion - my tanking efforts are taking a serious hit recently, I've won 6 in a row, and it now especially bugs me that this year's rookie crop has been so overrated. My team has more rookies than any other this season. Exum is a 77 but probably should've been a few points lower, 72 or 73, like all the other rookies on my team, and it means my team's rebuild has been handicapped. Rant over

I feel like we could start to really look at Rookies finally. Trade Deadline is passed, for a couple weeks now too, so if they aren't getting run now, or, if they are, we have a much better idea.
Exum really doesn't look ready for the NBA. The potential is in there though! A 77 is too high.
I'll go 73...he does start in the NBA sometimes, albeit on a bad team and he's not doing it all that well.

Exum starts every game now but averages like 4ppg, 3 ast. He's solid on defense, but not aggressive enough on offense, he said so himself when he was interviewed by Sports Illustrated (http://www.si.com/nba/2015/03/03/dante-exum-utah-jazz-the-craft). He still has the potential but, like you said, he's not NBA ready offensively. I'd go as low as 68, and that's not just because of what I said in my post earlier. It's up to you if you want to change rookies before the end of the season, Walt, but I'd appreciate it if you did

It was agreed to wait till the off-season. Rating changes already make for false outcomes. Having some players with way to high ratings have I'm sure added wins to their teams and that goes for rating changes in General. I think we need to finish up changing ratings before the trade deadline if possible...so that the 2nd half of the season and the playoffs are not screwed up by late changes. Of course those players like Marion, etc need changed first and any players way way low like Whiteside. But we need to still come up with a system for the future as well as rules on how many times we change a players rating per season, we need to decide strict rules for injured players...we need to decide when to take out players that are not playing in the league right now and are FAs or playing in other leagues. Should we leave them in the game. And we need a rating change stop date for this season. We need to decide If we will make changes during future season's and If not at what times during the season. We def need to put these rules in place before we continue to talk about the hard cap which won't effect the league for a few seasons. We need to worry about the league now and for say the next 2-3 years and during that add in the cap If we choose to. But as for changing rookie ratings now...that would be unfair to other gms and it was already decided I believe to fight about it I'm the off-season.
My thoughts... I just want what's best for the league as well you guys.
And most importantly I want it fair and I don't want too many changes during the season. I hate false outcomes because we are lazy or miss information that has already been mentioned.

The problem is you are complaining about things instead of offering your help.
If you feel like there should be a more organized priority system maybe you should start a thread where you keep an updated list based on GMs input. You can also help by making a table that includes completed rating changes based on Walt´s individual posts. Sure, He is capable of doing that last task but he is busy enough.
Also, It is ok to make suggestions but maybe you should include them all in one thread. Otherwise, you force Walt to scroll through heavy messaged threads to find votes.

If I had the internet access with a computer or had the ability to copy and paste I would. Years back I helped run a league and even was a simmer. I know the time and work that these guys put in. I appreciate this more than you or they know. But when I'm shot down just because of the makeup of my team(or Others decisions that screwed me), I don't even want to help. I then just post ways to help and hope those ideas get put into the league. More than anything I want the league fair. Which more than anything means not making changes to a teams players ratings multiple times during the season because of opinions. We do need a system. I wanted the attributes posted for all players but I've thought about it and I've realized that the most important thing that's not told to us out of the attributes is each players style of game. We all look at players differently. But if I think a guy plays one way and they think an other how am I to base a players style of play In the game if its different from what is previously was. I can see why attributes were changed because of the rating...but if a players play style has changed it needs told to us!!!! Lots to want to help with. Lots that need changed. Info that's misleading. And players that are not updated yet or that need not be changed more than once or twice a year. Maybe others will agree about some things. Maybe not. I may be wrong. But I need to say what I see. Because like I said... I just want it fair for all of us. And if we all are not able to see what's going on even behind the committee walls...how is it fair. Why should we not know what's being talked about or discussed. At least bring the topics up to the league and then decide between yourselves. But as least get our point of view and opinions.

I just want what's best for the league as well you guys. And most importantly I want it fair and I don't want too many changes during the season. I hate false outcomes because we are lazy or miss information that has already been mentioned. First of all, there was never some league-wide vote where we all agreed to wait until the offseason. Maybe some took my opinion as a ruling or something? I don't know, but I said on multiple occasions that it was just my opinion just like everyone else's opinion. The main reason Rookie's haven't been changed much or at all is people aren't voting on those threads. Maybe they aren't voting b/c they don't know the players, or maybe they aren't voting b/c they think we should wait...I dunno. My opinion has varied between wait for the season to end to wait until at least after the all-star game. I think we could at least look seriously at rookies who are under or over performing at this point and get their threads going, and we can change later in the season or even in the offseason...but at least we'd have started the conversation. I don't see how changing Rookies would be unfair. We change other players. Now that Rookies have had 4+ months in the NBA, over half a season, and past the All-Star Break and the NBA Trade Deadline, I think we can BEGIN to make decisions and more informed opinions on Rookies. I do have to admit your wall of text posts are just ridiculous to read and it makes it annoying and often makes me just skip right over your posts. Your tone in the posts I read is extremely confrontational, sometimes irrational, and brokers no discussion.

I don't know what you're referring to with your last sentence but it's just more talk with absolutely zero foundation. YOU are the liar. YOU are the one who tried to cheat the system and make a playoff team around players who should not have had the ratings they had. YOU are the reason I lobbied for FAIRNESS to the league, because you were cheating the system and your team was overperforming compared to what they could possibly hope to do in real life. I thank you for trying to circumvent the system I guess, since it pushed me so hard to make the ratings in this league fair and appropriate. But the name calling and such is just childish. I am doing this because I desire fairness. Do you see me just going into the game and making Kirk Hinrich an 89? No? That's b/c that's way below me, and I don't care what my guys are rated AS LONG AS they are rated fairly, which is what our system does. Get off your supposed high horse and enjoy the league. It's better than it's ever been, and you are one of the main things holding it back.
