I really feel like we should discuss this. I strongly believe that Sam Presti should to be the new Grizzlies GM and not some random guy.
I understand that there is a waiting list but Sam already knows what Memphis is about and he is willing to take the challenge. Moreover, we are talking about one of the most active members in the league. I think he deserves better...

Guys thank you for your support it really means a lot to me I come on here to have fun and enjoy myself and I have been doing that I'm not here to get mad that there's a waiting list and I'm at the bottom of it and that giving me the Grizzlies would be a move that Ian and the guy at the top of the waiting list would have to accept but that's all up to Ian and I thank everyone for there support but I'm not going to be mad because I don't get them

I agree he should be the new GM, hell Presti has been more active than the old gm when he was assistant. I know there is a waiting list, but he already knows the system , and has shown he is dedicated, plus he is here already.

Agreed. As much as I want him to be the Suns assistant, I still believe he should get the right of first refusal, if you will.

I was in trade negotiations with Presti and thought he was the actual GM of the Grizzlies the entire time haha

I agree guys and it was tough to make the call. The deciding factor was that we did not already have rules/procedures in place for the instance in which a GM leaves when they have an assistant. Whereas we do already have rules/procedures for when new GMs enter the league and it would also have seemed unfair to the next person in the Waiting List if I had given the job to Sam Presti. From now on though the job will go to the Assistant. I've specified it in this new rule.

Nothing like a bit of passive aggressive gloating to turn your friends into rivals Bobcats Assistant haha

Looks like some stories end happy: The next guy in line on the Waiting List chose to turn down the Grizzlies job because he's going to be away the next two weeks.
Therefore I'd like to welcome Sam Presti as Grizzlies General Manager ;D
