REJECTED! Greg Oden prefers the Suns over the Bobcats
There was a hope, but it didn't happened... Greg Oden isn't going to be a Bobcat.
After some offers, Oden decided to sign with the Suns because of their fantastic trainers and staff.
We went to Boston, where the Bobcats is going to play against the Celtics, to check on the Bobcats staff to know what they think about it:
'We really wanted Greg, but what can we say? He's tired of getting injured and he wanted to go to Phoenix, the place where the bests can deal with him.' Said Lucas Lutkus.
'Well, i'm really frustrated, i sent a text message to Greg yesterday, but it wasn't enough...' Said Marco, the Bobcats Assistant GM.
Marco's text message was:
"Greg, this is Bobcats Assistant Speaking. I am sending you this message to express how much the Bobcats Organization is interested in signing you. GM Lukas talks to me every day about how great it would be to have you as part of the team long-term plan. We understand that you are recovering from several injuries and even though you only played 82 games in 5 years, we believe in you.
About the deal we offered you, we understand the road to recovery will be hard and long but since we believe in you we are willing to offer the most money in the 1st 2 seasons of contract. In exchange for that trust that we are willing to deposit on you, we are asking for the same thing in return in Season 3 and 4 by adding TOs. Then, if everything works as expected you will be able to decide on your future at full will with a PO.
Greg, I hope to hear back from you soon and if you decide Charlotte is not your best option we still wish you good luck recovering from your injury. Just remember Bobcats Organization believes in you. Hopefully, you believe in Bobcats!”
But these two comments weren't anything compared to this:
Dennis Rodman arrested after throwing a TV through the window at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas
The head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats, Dennis Rodman got suspended after showing up drunk for a meeting, after this, he went to Las Vegas to spend his 30-day suspension there, but maybe his suspension may turn longer than expected.
After hearing on ESPN about Oden signing with the Suns, Rodman just lost it, he picked up the plasma TV in his hotel room and threw it through the 13th floor of the Caesars Palace!
When interviewed by the ESPN, a angry Rodman said:
'It was my idea to sign this motherf*cker! I want him to be f*cked! He's a piece of sh*t! A glass made motherf*cker! You suck Oden! You f*cking suck! Go die in Phoenix your thrash! I'm way older and still healthier then you! You're nothing compared to me! I'm coming back to destroy you and destroy the f*cking Suns! Mark my words! Rodman's OFF!'
By phone, Lucas Lutkus said that this doesn't change anything in Rodman's suspension because this is his personal life and they agreed to don't interfere in Rodman's attitudes when signing the contract.
