I am not sure that Williams will be able to recover from his injuries.
If he does, I do not think he will be the same point guard he once was.
He once was top 5 in the league. Can he be that again?
In the same way that Troy is gambling that he will regain his form. I think George Hill can be a more consistent point guard. Neither of them will be all stars. I also get a scoring wing. A building block to put with my team and help create a nucleus to entice free agents. The last piece that I like about this is that it helps me to reduce my salary. With just Williams for next year my salary was going to be $21,042,800. However, in this trade, I get two guys and their salary added together will be $15,571,000. I save almost $5.5 mil.
