We are looking to make one last playoff push before rebuilding in FA after next season. We are still rebuilding, just not this season. We are trading picks to get Johnson for this season and next. Well worth it to us. Draymond knew he was on thr block. It was just a matter of time. We won't have or want to pay max for a Lance Stephenson type player anyhow.

JJ still has game and potential. He is top 5 in clutch. He shoots a decent fg and 3pt% even though both stats are down a few pts this year. He is aging but I feel him being a class act person and being able to spread the floor and score in the final mins...which we need. Adding him to Mayo and Lin should work well. Its a huge contract but its for this season and next. And just like Amare i am sure i could trade his expiring next season if he does not mesh well or produce or gets injured.
Seriously feel as long as we dont hurt ourselves more than 2 years away and we have a "possibility" of making the playoffs JJ is worth the move.

I have never and will never play the tank game. We are still doing what we have from the beginning..trying to win, but filling spots of weakness when it happens. I don't change at all, because we always do. That's who we are until we find the right roster. We have not had the opportunity yet to pursue big name i free agency but we will. And like always we continue to fill our roster with guys we feel mesh well together and that will win and get into the playoffs. |
