David West
Current Rating: 84 Suggested Rating: 80
The Argument:
12.7/6.8/3.4 PPG/RBD/AST with 0.7 BLKs and 0.8 STLs on 47.3% shooting. Just not an 84 anymore, isn't thriving as a top option with George out like an "elite" player should.

75 because Boozer's statistics are a good bit better.

80. I almost don't wanna take him this low but if Favors' stats and superior athleticism & Defense get an 82 from the league, I don't see how West can be higher than an 80.

Because your rating is biased as you are the GM who has Boozer on his team. Do you seriously think David West is a 75? Because your statement completely displays a biased tone because your player was lowered in rating.

Because your statement completely displays a biased tone because your player was lowered in rating. It's called making a point. Sure I used a little hyperbole, but why should West be rated higher than Boozer?

Because he is better. If you really think Boozer is better than West, you may need to watch them play. If Boozer is so great, why would the Bulls waive him? Just a thought.

Well that's good. Makes a lot of sense to filter situations as this.

Who attached the adjective "great" to either one of these guys? Look rookie, you need to calm down and quit putting words in my mouth. Last time I saw these guys play, last year, I would agree that West outproduced Boozer in terms of both the eye test and statistics. With that said, however, Boozer's statistics are better than West's this year....what am I suppose to conclude from this fact?

"Let's face it, he pretty much stinks on ice if you judge him solely based on the eye test. Therefore, I am going to say that Love should be an 85." - Vlade.
So why can we apply the eye test to Love, but when it comes to your player, we can't? Man, if we based all your arguments on your own provenance, you would be a walking contradiction.

Bravo on pointing out the "contradictions." You must be some kind of liberal arts major at Harvard to figure that one out! Too bad you took me out of context! Let me give you a check list of questions that will demonstrate this point. Did I vote for Love to be an 85? No! Can you believe that Boozer should be lowered than West? Yes Am I saying your wrong based on the eye test? No Are you allowed to vote however you want? Yes Am I allowed to vote however I want? Yes I am simply pointing out that people low balled Boozer and it's bullshit since his statistics are better than a guy like Wests. Does that make me a hypocrite? Let me show the reader the rest of my post so that they can decide for themselves: I am not going to vote on this given my history with Chris Bosh, but let me say a few things. #1: First, it's either poor GMing or a eerie coincidence that both the "elite" big men that Lebron chooses to pair up with, Chris Bosh and Kevin Love, go from historical levels of statistical production to crap. Next, it's eerie that I never saw either one of these guys play before they paired up with Lebron because their teams, Toronto and Minnesota, were never on TV...but I did see Love in college at UCLA. Lastly, its eerie that neither guy impresses me using the eye test. #2: Since we refused to lower Bosh, despite my vehement arguments to the contrary, I think Love should get "Chris Bosh Immunity" for at least the first year. #3: If it matters at all, I think Love is a better player than Bosh in almost every aspect of their games outside of the ability to jump. This fact makes it hard to judge them because I think Love might be in the Hall of Fame if he could jump while Bosh is just goofy. I don't know if this contributes anything to thread but I am really trying hard to be "the voice of reason" and be constant with our past rulings in regards to players in the same situation as Love.

You stated he should be an 85, therefore you are implying what your vote would be. Your above comment doesn't relate to anything I mentioned about using the eye test for one, but not the other. You are basing your vote on statistics, but as you mentioned, you would be using the eye test to set your vote for Love.
I am sorry you contradict yourself nonstop, only you can help that. I am happy to know you think I am smart though, I appreciate it. Also, I am a tax accountant, but nice guess. I would never vote for Obama as a liberal arts person would.
It's okay though, the ratings have a control to negate unintellectual votes.

Needs more votes, we are at 6 now, 4 if you count knocking out the bottom and top votes. Would like to get at least 10 votes on each player.

His numbers does not shout 84 even though his USG% is at 22.7
Going with 80.
Bulk of it should be on FG, DReb, Physicals, IS
