Marion is still a role player who is playing some quality minutes but his rating is clearly still from the day when he was almost a star, he's only a role player now and has fallen off a cliff statistically this year.
2013-14: 10.4 PPG 1.6 APG 6.5 RPG 48.2 FG% 35.8 %3P 31.7 Min 13.7 PER
2014-15: 5.6 PPG 1.1 APG 3.5 RPG 45 FG% 31.4 %3P 23.1 Min 10.6 PER

Last season you dropped half my players ratings in a few days... I am sure there are players Like Marion that need dropped and should have been long ago before others. Why act like I bother you about it. I don't. I barely ever start a thread. If you can't do your job... Get help. There should be others helping anyway. I think the league needs verifiers anyhow. To double check for errors.... Of ratings, positions, etc.. |

I can do it JR. You realize we used to get 15-20 per season? Or at least that's what it felt like. Now, I do batches of 15-20, what looks like 7-10 times in a season.
This actually isn't my job. It's a "job" maybe on this forum but please, come on man. Real life matters a lot more. If you don't think I can do my job, who processed those 34 rating changes in February? How about the 58! in January? 8 more on December 31st to boot. Over the offseason, there were another 27 in September, 30 in August, and 33 in the last two weeks of July.
Doing a tiny bit of math, in 7.5 months on this "job", I have processed 190 Rating Changes with the help of the rest of the RC. You can kindly shut your damn mouth about me not being able to do the job, please and thank you.

In other words, I've probably multiplied our ability to process ratings by about 10. And this season isn't even done for another few months.

JR, let me just ask this - Do you realize the reason I pushed so hard for ratings to be updated more, and eventually took on the role or Rating Committee Chairman or whatever you want to call it, is because I care about fairness? Remember how unfair it was for you to amass your 79-82 rated team of guys who should have been rated 70-75? You are one of the main reasons this even happened, because you were cheating the system and taking advantage of how slow ratings were changed. I'm doing this b/c I want this league to be fair and realistic. Why else would I do it? I'm not cheating, my team is losing, I don't sim the games, I just try to make players play like they do IRL. It took you guys All season to update Rose. It's only January 23rd in the sim, that's not even half a season. What crack are you on man? You're just complaining to complain at this point. Back off. I could have done some rating change work in this time, and in fact have, but could have done a lot more w/o you complaining. Don't you get it? |

But the league issue I am having is much more serious. I get screwed a few seasons back and I try everything in my power to get back to the playoffs. I know how the sim works. I know how the players play in the sim. Last season we were a playoff team before Walt decided that midseason it was time to finally get on top of the ratings. Of course it started out by updating my players on my roster first. Why..because we were a group of vet players underachieving because I knew the Players IRL and their game and I knew how they played in our sim. We eventually could not win a game after the adjustments so I had to once again start trading My players. So twice now I adjusted my roster to win and both times we were and now both times someone in the league decided to change things for my team. Result losing. I am not sure how Ian and Walt and HOU are adjusting the players But they have not only changed the ratings but each players style of play. Basing the style and attributes of players how they see it and not how as a league we see each player. I once again have made this team into a playoff team. Even in the West. But for some reason my guys are underachieving from my point of view. Not only that my guys are not playing like I knew them to have in the sim. I was ok with getting screwed and updating ratings but not changing a players style and attributes. I don't even know what type of players I have anymore. But I know for a fact we should not be out of the playoffs. So it's one if two things...my players have been updated and I just don't understand their game anymore or I'm being cheated. I hate to call anyone out but When things are happening more so after having issues with a player I see it as someone taking advantage of things and Just because I turned down their idea of how I should run my team now or in the future. If I don't want cap or picks and instead I like my team as is...be ok with it. Its my team. Don't be mad. I can't honestly see my TEAM doing so bad and at least not being an 8th seed. And having my pick and running as the simulator does not work for me as well because as I see it...something fishy is going on. And all of a sudden your not tanking But I can't win but 3 out of 10 games. I'm sure it's not noticeable and I should have Just shut my mouth and watched. I've clued some in on my thoughts of what I see going on. But I couldn't just watch it happen. So if he starts losing or even if he does not I see this season as done. I've been mad a gms before But when the one I trust the most seems to be screwing me I have to speak up. Even if eventually that ends my tenure as GM of the best league around. That's it this league has been the best around. But over the last year or so it's changed. We have a leader and a co leader and after that We have a bunch of suckups and gms that don't care about the league..only themselves. There are several gms that I respect and that have always been legit and I can count on them. But there are changes being made to the league that eventually Will hurt it and changes that should be changed that won't be done because Its too much work or something is being done dishonestly. We can have a hard cap but why should We wait 3 years. Put it into affect now. The NBA does not wait on changes to help teams IRL. Also attributes need to be posted openly so we Can see our players and how you guys gave adjusted them. Its not fair that 3 gms see or know the changes when the rest of us dont. And as for ratings..yes we have finally almost updated them...but now we need a system or guideline in place for the future. I'm sure I have said too much or posses someone off but I am speaking how I feel. If you don't like it get over it. I guess that's why my team struggles and I get screwed over. At least it helps the rest of you. On my phone so sorry if the spelling is off or if things font make sense. But I hate liars and cheaters...and as a league we all need to be equal and honest. I don't think Walt or anyone else is specifically targeting your players to make them shitty... I think they are just shitty. But I agree, we should know how the players play in the Sim by seeing their ratings... and Walt has done that. All the ratings walt has changed are in the completed rating change subforum, JR. You can see exactly what you need in there.
