Current Rating: 74 Suggested Rating: 78
Marreese Speights is playing off the charts as a bench player for Golden State. He has always been very efficient but it's at another level this season.
16.5mpg, 12.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 0.8apg, 0.7bpg, 0.3spg, 53.7FG%, 25.0PER
In only 16 minutes per game he averages numbers that look good for a low end starter player 25-30 minutes. You can see this in his per 36 stats which are ridiculous:
27.2ppg, 11.5rpg, 1.6apg, 1.4bpg, 0.5bpg
He needs a rating that shows his value as a major contributor off the bench. I think a 78 is pretty reasonable for him.

This is a pretty big outlier for him and he's not really young so I'd be more for waiting to see if this lasts because I think he's due to come back to Earth

Even if he were to go back to his level from previous seasons, he is still better than a 74. A 78 rating isn't that great, just a solid player. I don't think I'm asking for much.

He only averaged 6 and 3 last year. I'm still hesitant until I see more evidence if around end of January he's still producing I'd feel comfortable raising him.

Brian brings up a good point, something we've sort of tossed around in the Ratings Committee - It would really be best to make decisions with more data. So, around Midseason is when we should really be looking at players to see who is over- or under-performing their ratings.
Speights is a good guy to keep an eye on, but let's see how it looks in mid/late January or early February.

His case is very unique.
12-13 16.5 mins 8.3 pts 4.9 rebs 13-14 12.4 mins 6.4 pts 3.7 rebs 14-15 17.4 mins 11.8 pts 5.1 rebs
13-14 D5 19.1 mins 4.5 pts 4.9 rebs
I believe he is a product of GSW system but what he is doing is not seen for while and his D5 stats is still bit inefficient compared to his 12-13 and 13-14.
I am going with 78 too. Bulk of the increase should be on OA then FG and IS.

I would say around a 76-77. The only reason his stats have gone up is because Bogut is injured.

Current stats are around 12pts / 5reb / 1ast / 0.6blk / 0.2stl on 50.5% FG and 81.3% FT in about 18 mpg. He's due to be a 77.
