Current Rating: 77 Suggested Rating: 83
Stats: 15.9 PPG 7 APG 3.5 RPG 1.6 SPG 44.2FG% 20.4 PER 35 Min
Comparisons: Kemba Walker Rating 81 14.5 PPG 5 APG 4.5 RPG 1.3 SPG 38FG% 15.2 PER 34 MIN
Jrue Holiday Rating 83 15 PPG 6.5 APG 2.6 RPG 1.5 SPG 44FG% 19.2 PER 33 Min
Mike Conley Rating 84 16.9 PPG 6.1 APG 2.6 RPG 1.3 SPG 43.6 FG% 20.1 PER 32 Min
Darren Rates very Similarly to these guards particularly since he is also known as a good defender in the league. He was averaging very similar stats last year in LA but didn't have the minutes to back them up. Now that he's a starter he's proven he's in that mid tier of very good PGs especially as since he arrived Sacramento has started winning IRL. I think this sample and the comparisons that are shown here are evidence that Darren deserves an upgrade.
Also advanced stats all show him to be really good beyond his traditional stats that are also strong.

I need to see longer than a month for Collison. He's had great stretches before, and then rough stretches. 83 is definitely too high. I could see him cracking an 80, maybe 81...but not ready to rate him yet myself.

I just wanna point out that per 36 last year Collison averaged 16 and 5 while shooting 46%, on a team that didn't need him to distribute as much. He's had the ability but with the minutes he's getting its finally showing up in his stat sheet.

I literally can't find where Kemba got that rating. I always thought he would be best playing off the bench like Isaiah Thomas is for the Suns this year. Maybe take Collison up to a 79 and bring Walker down to a 79 as well.

83 is way too high, I'll say 79.

Same player, different team. 78 His stats have clearly improved though and he's shown that he can lead a successful team like the Kings. The stats don't lie, he has really gotten better.

I think Collison is a solid defender, although he's shooting pretty horribly from the field - especially from three. Collison is kind of a shitty version of bledsoe.
Ill go 80.
I also think its bullshit you put him in the same convo as mike conley

I think Conley is better but then prove me wrong with stats! I'm happy to debate!

One more thing to add Collison is ranked 17tg overall in espns real plus minus stat. Obviously this isn't a perfect statistic but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I think a major problem with it is that we are in a GOLDEN age of point guards. They are all really good. So when it comes to ranking them it's going to come down to a lot of semantics regardless of what anyone says.
I think typically when it comes to two more or less equally skilled players, or similar stats. It then comes down to overall team success and perceived effect on their team performance.
