The Evolution of the TimberwolfWelcome to the first edition of TWolves Central! Today we are taking a look at all of the trades that have greatly changed the look of your Minnesota Timberwolves. For a quick breakdown, check this out: In the span of a week, the TWolves either traded away or released Michael Beasley, Anthony Randolph, Luke Ridnour, Brad Miller, Martell Webster, Darko Milicic, Anthony Tolliver, Wayne Ellington, and Malcolm Lee. In return, they added J.J. Hickson, Stephen Jackson, Matt Barnes, Jan Vesely, Kevin Seraphin, Jordan Hill, Chris Singleton, Jonny Flynn, and Jason Collins. We'll be breaking down each deal, digging into the talent and salaries of these players! Following is Part 1 of the series! Trade #1: Darko Milicic & Anthony Ranolph FOR Jan Vesely - Kevin Seraphin - Chris Singleton In GM Walt Frazier's favorite trade of this young season, he traded away a player he had given up on in Anthony Randolph, and Darko Milicic, a backup Center who was due $4.7, $5.2, & $5.6 MILLION dollars for the next 3 years. In return, he gets this season's #6 & #18 Picks from the 1st round, Jan Vesely & Chris Singleton, plus a high-upside Frenchman who already has proven some of his potential - Kevin Seraphin. Jan Vesely profiles as a high-flying swingman, actually being characterized as a sort of "Blake Griffin" of the European leagues. He currently is excelling in his post game, but continues to work hard to improve his overall game. Also....this. Chris Singleton, the draft's #18 pick, is already a great defensive player, and looks like he'll be a pretty nice 3point shooter as well, making 34.6% of his shots from behind the arc in his rookie season. He'll have a spot on this team for a long time, even if he doesn't develop any more. That being said, he's got a strong motor and will to improve, so watch out. Kevin Seraphin really intrigues GMs around the league, and for good reason. After the success of Tony Parker & Nicolas Batum coming from French Leagues, there was an undercurrent of expectation for Seraphin. Given time, he has really impressed! In 20 games starting at Center this season, Kevin had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and shot 53% from the field in 32 minutes per game. Considering he is just 22 years old, the future looks very bright! This trade also cut out about $1.5 million in cap space this season, and another $2.7 million next season. All 3 players acquired could be released by not having their options picked up if they do not work out, so there is minimal long-term risk, with some SUPER big Upside and potential to be had here. Take a look at a few clips of these young studs, and then get ready for Part 2 of our series!

TWolves Central: If you don't know, you are missing out man! As we said above "In 20 games starting at Center this season, Kevin had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and shot 53% from the field in 32 minutes per game." That was filling in for the Wizards as their PF/C situations were quite a mess last season. He's got some very nice footwork and post moves, and looks like a real find!
We know Walt Frazier is super excited about having him on the team for the next 4 seasons.

Rubio, Love, Vesely, is this the trio that the T-Wolves wants to have for the future?

Sources tell us Love is the only truly "untouchable" piece for the organization right now. That being said, Rubio is highly thought of in the organization, and along with Vesely, Pekovic, and Seraphin, TWolves GM Walt Frazier hopes he has a very good, very young core to build on for years to come.
That being said, right now there is a hole at the SG spot, but Walt's a tireless worker, and we expect him to keep trying until he finds a piece that works there, longterm.

Maybe the was not the right smile. I should have added ;D. I honestly want TWolves GM to do well and he knows it. After he gets rid of Stephen Jackson, he will be able to go for a star player in the off-season and make the Minnesota Timberwolves a title contender.
