BREAKING NEWS: Dennis Rodman suspended for 30 daysThe Charlotte Bobcats just announced that after sending Lucas Lutkus and Michael Jordan to hell and showing up drunk to his meeting, Dennis Rodman is suspended for 30 days for coaching the Bobcats, after the 30 days, Jordan and Lutkus will give Rodman another chance to justify himself. Dennis Rodman got in trouble after lying to the whole Charlotte Bobcats by telling them that Kemba Walker would start after 2 games on the bench, but he didn't, benching him twice, with the Bobcats losing this two times. Muggsy Bogues being the interim coach while Rodman is offThe Bobcats GM, Lucas Lutkus also announced that one of the best players to ever play in Charlotte, Muggsy Bogues, was going to be the interim coach of the Bobcats in the next 30 days. Bogues played for the Charlotte Hornets since his debut in the league in 1988 and left them in 1997. Muggsy Bogues was an exceptional passer, a great ball-stealer, and one of the fastest on court. He's already the Charlotte Bobcats assistant coach with Luc Longley and won the assistants battle for the job. When asked about it, Bogues just said that he was 'very thankful' and 'proud of his job'. Is Bogues going to make any difference? Will Rodman come back? Who knows?

I need clarification on this, if a team moves to another city or changes their name and then another team comes along and starts playing in the first city....did a former player of team 1 play for the first or second franchise?
Let me give you some an example:
Did Jim Brown play for the Cleveland Browns or Baltimore Ravens? (Since the old Browns move to Baltimore and became the Ravens.) It is the same principal with Muggsy Bogues; how can you really say he played for the Charlotte Bobcats when he really played for the Hornets? This started bothering me when they were talking about Jim Brown and how much he cares about the Browns on 1st Take....I think he should be worrying about the Baltimore Ravens personally.

Well, i think that Bogues is an idol in Charlotte and an idol for Hornets fans. I don't consider that he played in Charlotte Bobcats, but he did play in the town of Charlotte, and a lot of people that used to go watching the Charlotte Hornets game now goes to watch the Charlotte Bobcats game. I consider the two totally different teams, but Bogues can be a personality in both. It's not the same thing like OKC and Seattle Supersonics, this is a team that transformed into another. Bobcats is just a new team in the town of Charlotte.

The Ravens are not the Browns. They were allowed to move to Baltimore but couldn't take any of the team history from the Browns.
Same as the Thunder, they moved from Seattle but didn't take any of the history. I think Charlotte is just a new franchise since New Orleans is still the Hornets

And like Gary Payton, where will he have his jersey retired at? My guess would be Oklahoma City or nowhere.

I think that Larry Johnson, Muggsy Bogues, Zo Morning, Mashburn are well-respected figures both in Charlotte and in New Orleans because of their history in the Hornets and in the city of Charlotte. Bringing Bogues to the heading coach is going to bring the old school Charlotte Hornets fans back to the arena!

They are technically the Browns, but they weren't allowed to bring any of the Browns history, colors, retired jerseys, all that stuff. So Baltimore became an 'expansion' team. Then when the Browns got another team they got to keep everything, basically like they never left.
Terms for the Thunder to leave Seattle were the same, not allowed to bring anything, so they became a new franchise. If a team ends up back in Seattle, which they finally have some signs of life, they'll basically pick up where the Sonics left off.
I was wondering the same thing earlier this week about the Ravens so I had to do some research, lol.

Please don't make him chose between retiring as a Buck, Hawk, Heat, Laker, or wherever else he played and failed miserably! I guess the Oilers and Titans didn't erase their history? I know the Titans wear the old Oiler uniforms as throwback uniforms sometimes.

Yup, Houston Texans are a new franchise while Oilers-Titans are still the same.
They have plans in place to build a new Arena in Seattle, they just need a team to relocate. That's the biggest hurdle right now is I don't see any teams relocating. I'd love to have the Sonics history. I grew up with the Reign Man and The Glove. I love the Lakers but I got a soft spot for the Sonics since I watched them play every night as a kid
