This is the biggest bullshit thread ever. If your in this league and you don't know how your players are doing IRL you are not doing your job. Most of us check the headline's and what's going on. I find it odd you want to argue this with those lies. It has been mentioned before. Just not over and over again. When we post about a player here we have done our job. The player should then be adjusted. Trying to do this fair and by system is very important. But if something is missed so huge to the status of the league it needs to be adjusted fairly. And put into the game asap to make things fair. Not sure why the hold up but since it was found t be such a long injury and not adjusted into our league..it needs to be. Just like any other player we find to be in such a situation. If its just a league and not such a big deal...just be ok with it and don't stress. It's for fun u say. Even if he's held out a month your lucky as shit. He's been out much much longer. To not put him out even half his real time would be a cheat to the league and other GMs. Fair is fair. JR, why does everything have to be so aggressive and pissed off when you talk? You sound like you have a serious anger issue. As far as doing my job, I'd say I'm doing a pretty damn good job of it since I've joined this league. I knew Holiday had injuries for a bit and was out for a few games, but didn't know the extent of the injury. I don't have the time each day to follow my players and check out what they're doing. Maybe you do because your life has less going on or you just care way too much about the league. I already said, whatever everyone else thinks is fair and what Ian decides is fine. I wasn't even arguing that. My only point was that Ian is one person and if someone see's an injury that nobody else seems to have spotted, then speak up. I'm not being anymore aggressive about this as anything else. He just happens to be on your team. Your team is overachieving because of it. When players go on the IR sometimes GMs must make a trade or switch so that his team continues on the path to the playoffs. You have not had to adjust your team that is doing pretty decent in the weak East. Without Holiday you might be a lower seed and another East team might have a better chance or get a higher seed. There is no reason for him not to miss the time he was out IRL here in the league. Howard, George, Bosh, Kobe and others are and have been out. Holidays is not the only one missed. Even though it was brought up in this thread. But now that he is on IR.he needs to stay on there for a fair amount of time. Just like everything else...ratings...injuries...trades... Lets just be fair but equal to be as real as possible but most importantly..fair to one gm as we are to the next. It's now in Ians hands but I feel the league has spoken and needs to if need be..if he doesn't get enough IR time...which he deserves.. Fairness between all..

I get what you say about fairness and I agree but assigning more tasks to Ian is not the solution. If someone is willing to help great. If not, I am willing to tolerate some GMs getting a random advantage. It is very rare to find a sim league that runs for multiple seasons and at the end, that is what matters most. Exploiting Ian´s head is not good for the league.

Exploiting Ian´s head is not good for the league. I don't see it hard keeping a player on IR then taking him off. I'll try when I can and I'll look into it. I think we all can help as well. Its not hard putting a player on IR when he should be. Ill look at how long he has been out IRL. I'll do what I can for others as well. But basically when he plays again IRL I want it said that he will not return right away...that after a review he will then be taken off IR. But he's not the only player. When a player comes off IR We need to adjust accordingly. Denver's PG has no issue...when he plays..he's back....that's how easy it should be. But errors like this need to be executed fair to the league and it's gms.

1) Create a new thread that you can moderate. 2) Check reports on games that have been played in real life. 3) Update the 1st post of the thread with new injuries (+1 game missed for the respective players). 4) Check D5 box scores and update your post accordingly. 5) Send a report to Ian with new injured players and players that healed (missed games in real life - missed games in the sim = 0). 6) Repeat the cycle from point 2. Maybe, 1 member could check for injured players once per week and the other would update the thread daily based on the sim and alert Ian when there are players in/out of the list. Example of weekly report: March 23-March 30 (real life) Injured Players: Jrue Holiday: x games Kevin Durant: x games ... n player: x games JR, if you can do something like that it would be extremely helpful to keep the injury list updated.

*****Players to watch or still update: Shabazz Muhammad, Nikola Peckovic, Ryan Anderson, Evan Fournier, Devyn Marble, Eric Moreland, Tony Wroten(season), Kris Humphries(Missed last 11 games), ---------------------------------------------- Notes: Blake Griffin returned to action this past week after missing 15games with infection ***Notes: Derrick Rose has not played since Feb 24, 2015. HE HAS BEEN PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE** has missed 14 games with 4-6 week injury projection. Notes: Paul George close to returning. May see game action within the next two weeks.(Been out ALL Season) Notes: Thabo Sefolosha is about a week away from returning from injury.(Missed 21 games-Jan 31, 2015) Notes: Jimmy Butler was expected out 3-4 weeks. Has missed 11 games and has not played since March 2, 2015. Expected close return day to day. -------------------------------------------- Sergey Karasev-Injured on March 11, 2015( Out for Remainder of the Season!) **NOT YET PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE** -------------------------------------------- Jrue Holiday- 31 missed games to date(as of March 20,2015-Still injured) Ian put J.Holiday on IR today 3/21/2015. I truly feel we should not allow him to play for at least 31 games or the rest of the regular season..which ever is less. I do not feel we should take any playoff games away from Glenn and the Bucks. Jrues injury status was placed on the IR thread after had already been out 2 weeks. Lets say on average we can give him credit some until he should have been placed on IR. So His status could be verified and changed to IR. That on average take away 6 games for those two weeks. We are not sure at his return date as of yet. So as of today we Will put it that He will be placed on IR 25 days and counting...up until the playoffs. ---------------------------------- Kevin Durant-15 games missed to date(as of Feb 21, 2015-Still injured and could be out for the rest of the season) Ian placed Kevin on IR today March 21, 2015. Kevin will miss the next 15 games, including any number of games missed after this date. His situation is different of that of Jrue Holiday, because he has been placed to maybe not return for the season where as Jrue will be coming back any day. ------------------------------- Serge Ibaka- 5 games missed to date(as of March 2-Still Injured due to surgery- Out for Season)) Ian placed him on IR on March 21, 2015. He is out for the seasom. ---------------------------------- Jamal Crawford-9 games missed to date(as of March 4, 2015-Still injured. No return date) **STILL NOT PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE** Latest News: www.dailynews.com//sports/20150321/doc-rivers-admits-there-is-chance-jamal-crawford-will-not-returnI posted about Jamal about 2 weeks ago. They have signed Mate Robinson to two 10 day contracts so far and likely for the season. Jamals injury is serious and being an older vet it May take longer and be more serious than anyone is saying. Not only that but Redicjbjust broke his season franchise for 3pt fgs made in a season. I think he will miss at least another month to be safe And that we should add him to the IR before we can't because of the playoffs. He has already missed 3 weeks and there's no time on a return. ------------------------------------------- Mike Scott- Missed last 5 games( Hasn't played since March 14, 2015) Expected to miss 6 week's. **NOT PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE AS OF 3-21-15** ---------------------------------------------- Kostas Papanikolaou- has missed 14 games since Feb 22, 2015. No news on a return date for ankle injury back at the end of February. **HAS NOT BEEN PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE** ------------------------------------------- **Nick young- Expected to miss the remainder of the season. Has been out for ankle injury, but more so team tanking. Has missed the last 13 games( last played Feb 24, 2015) **HAS NOT BEEN ADDED TO INJURED RESERVE LIST** ---------------------------------------------Damien Inglis--Has not played all season. Will be out all season. **NOT ON INJURED RESERVE LIST** --------------------------------------- **Anthony Bennett- has not played the last 14 games since Feb 23, 2015. Expected Out for the remainder of the season. **NOT PUT ON INJURED RESERVE BUT NEEDS TO BE!!** ---------------------------------------------- ***PIERRE JACKSON- HAS NOT PLAYED ALL SEASON. JR, this is exactly what we need. But it needs to be its own thread. If you want to officially be in charge of this for the league, make the thread and do it. You can PM Ian and see if he'll give you a nifty title too. "Injury Committee"

Dwight howard was out for 26 games.
We should just do it by # of games missed. Just add them as soon as it seems reasonable that they will miss 6 weeks.

Our injuries system isn't perfect but it's the best it can be at the moment and I'm not trusting it to anyone else.
Maybe at a later date I will review the process, but for now I've not heard better solutions from anyone.
Eventually I hope to build my own sim engine that will simulate injuries, I'm attending Python programming classes currently, but until then, as Winston Churchill said: "The Dynasty Five Injuries System is the worst form of Injuries System, except for all the others.”

Another star PG goes down. www.rantsports.com/nba/2015/03/25/kyle-lowrys-injury-likely-a-nail-in-the-coffin-for-toronto-raptors/Can we please put him on IR please? Good thing is we will see how good Lou Williams is. He was in the running for 6th man. Other than his size I think he's just as good as Lowry. Maybe Lowrys rating increase this season was too early? His numbers have been down since right before the All Star Break. Can the ratings committee comment on his early increase? IR IR IR =======LOWRY!!!!!!!!

Thats because we are using the CBS thing, and it just lists him as questionable, which it will probably do for the remainder of the season. The report filed to ESPN was: Kyle Lowry out indefinitely (back injury). But because we are using the CBS page, and it doesn't list him as out indefinitely, he likely won't be added. Which is a shame, because if you're listing someone as questionable, you likely don't know when they will return. Next season, we need to figure out a better system than just using CBS injury list, because there's always conflicting reports out there that seem more valid than what CBS uses. The real problem is the NBA and how they deal with injuries, not necessarily the sites.

His numbers have been down since right before the All Star Break. Can the ratings committee comment on his early increase? As a member of the RC, I'll comment on it. Everyone in the league had the opportunity to vote on Kyle Lowry, this isn't the RC's fault. The community puts a player up for discussion, we then all have the opportunity to vote, and after a more than considerable amount of time, the voting closes. At that point is where the RC does its job by going in and changing the stats. The RC has nothing to do with how big or small a player is increased or decreased or when those will occur. That falls upon the community. It is my opinion that we are too quick to anoint players; I feel as though we need a larger sample size.

Are you suggesting we should do this on our own? The outrage would be massive!

I'd love to do it on our own, we'd be drunk with power. But really though, we don't decide when someone gets changed, people. We decide, based off of your recommendations, vorped data, analytical stats, and career trends, HOW a player is changed. Not WHEN but HOW.

The real problem is the NBA and how they deal with injuries, not necessarily the sites. That's the thing when I take players injuries I like to read what's out there and take multiple lists to decide. But as I stated earlier.. If it says out daily of course no IR If it says day to day of course not. If it says out indefinitely..no..unless more than one site says that its more than a week or two. If its says..out till April or late March...the player goes on IR until they come back Out for the season...out on IR for season or until return. But there are some players that should have been out and on the IR all season because they are out all season. And for example... Jamal Crawford...hes been out so long already. If we don't catch it and a player is out over 10 games we need to put them on IR. It's not hard. But its not fair some teams that are fighting just like the rest for a playoff spot..and some teams get to keep players off IR. Lowry needs to be put on the IR. Soon as we hear that the swelling is down. We can wait a few games. Because just like Aldridge it does happen. But the longer we wait...if he is out...We need to make him take games off..even if he returns for the playoffs. Come on guys...it needs to be fair.
