Heat Receive
74 Brendan Haywood $7,624,500,$8,349,000,$9,073,500,$9,798,000,$10,522,500 84 Jason Kidd $8,610,500
Total:16,235,000
Mavs get Chalmers to replace Kidd in the starting spot or maybe Terry if he gets dealt later on. A solid young guard with a Jason Terry complex, and absolutely zero fear, Chalmers will surely find a home in Dallas. Haywood is swapped out for a pair of bad but more maneuverable contracts. Heat 1st rounder will probably be 25-30, but is a pick nonetheless. Mavs get younger but again, stay solid.
If Miller isn't dealt, he will likely either hold the starting 3 spot or be the 6th man.
Mavs will go over 15 players with this trade, will release Jared Jeffries pending completion of Mavericks-Suns trade.

Total salaries for Dallas after:65,180,750 Total salaries for Miami after:77,217,323
I accept. With this trade i get major upgrades at PG and C. I get a championship experienced PG that can push us over the top. I mean we lost to the Bobcats with Chalmers. With Kidd I guarantee we won't lose to the Bobcats again.
With Haywood yet another championship experienced player who will start at C. He is an upgrade for my C position over Turiaf. He does have a bad contract but sometimes you gotta pay to upgrade. I mean you don't get a good phone upgrade without paying.

Maybe not a perfect trade, but both teams get what they were looking for...and some of the guys are in there partially b/c of salary purposes.
I'll accept it.

I accept, Miami is putting the finishing touches to potential championship team for the next 2 seasons and Dallas gets some cap relief with Haywood gone

I think this is a deal that's good for both teams. Normally I'd say Miami is giving up too much for Kidd in Miller & Chalmers, but given the Heat's championship aspirations things are changed.
I accept.
