Charlotte also finished 2nd in the Blake Griffin sweepstakes. Blake was the only player on the free agent list to have the big market star next to his name and yet he still almost didn't go to one! Honestly both the NY teams are rough and the Lakers had ZBo and Vucevic already. Not that Blake wasn't better than those two guys but Big Market tendency doesn't mean it's a lock. I don't think there is such a thing as a "Big Market tendency."

Serge Ibaka, perhaps the best available "gettable" free agent, signed to a team in one of the smallest markets, who had a 24-58 record last year, and have 2 starters who have never played in the NBA before. I don't think there's a big market tendency Also, what makes you think Nerlens is starting?

James I think your making this out to be more then it is. I just looked back into the archives section at previous off season free agent list (note I couldn't find the 2012 one) and combined between the past two their have only been two players with a star next to there name indicating they wanted to play for a big market team plus Dwight Howard left a big market team (New York) to go play for a smaller market team (Golden State). I feel with your team you'r one year away (meaning Davis continues to develop and Wiggins has a great rookie season in real life) from being able to sign a big name free agent

I appreciate you looking that up. Like I said - Im not complaining, just sparking discussion. 2. Who is Davis? and what does he have to do with me? Im the Charlotte Hornets, I don't have AD and also AD isnt even on NO hes on the Bucks in this league.

But still with the team you have (adding Wiggins and Ibaka) could be more alluring to Mello especially if the Clippers miss the play offs this upcoming season, making it two years in a row
