England always goes out of every tournament for one bullshit reason or another Luckily I also support Australia, they're really entertaining to watch!

Im taking Uruaguy. Suarez is the best striker in the world right now. He may bite people and be racist, but the guy is amazing.

I have also been having trouble picking between England and Italy to advance from that group. Both teams are good.
I am kind of upset that Italy left Rossi off the roster and personally think Rossi should switch to the US squad. Rossi, Dempsey, and Altidore would be a killer striking line.
If I am not mistake, the US runs with one striker and a center forward-ish position. Bradley is key for the Americans, he is their Xavi, he runs the show up front and connects the center backs. If Bradley is in top form, they can make it out of the group, but they can't make it past Belgium, who I have coming out of their group 1st.

I really see South America dominating this world cup. Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and even Chile are all peaking right now relative to some prior world cups, and have the benefit of playing on their own continent.

I know nothing about soccer but I am going to join for two reasons:
#1: To feel apart of the league.
#2: To pick a USA/Mexico final!

I know nothing about soccer but I am going to join for two reasons: #1: To feel apart of the league. #2: To pick a USA/Mexico final! Soccer, or futbol, or football, is the best all around sport IMO. It is best because it is the most fun to watch and it is the most fun to play. The problem is, it isn't popular in the states, so instead of getting a group of people to play soccer, its a lot easier to show up at the court and play some basketball.

Who is even on England's roster now? Do the guys with the Welsh tag get to play for England? Does Ramsey get to play for England if he has the Welsh tage? Sturridge is in pretty good form, and Rooney is a threat. If Lampard and Wilshere are playing together, that is a pretty scary attacking front. But, I assume, John Terry is no longer on the team, the whole sleeping with his mates wife and calling the brother of his center back pairing a racist word, will get you kicked off.

Welsh players do not play for England.
Ryan Giggs is Welsh, never played for England, which is a tragedy of epic proportions.
Technically England has a great team, but there's always so much bullshit that surrounds our team, so much media scrutiny, and stuff the media just makes up, it's always a distraction and the pressure's always too much. Then Beckham gets sent off or Ronaldinho chips David Seaman from 100 yards and we're out of the tournament.

Players from Wales/Scotland can play for England but they choose not to.
Which is a shame since guys like Giggs, Ramsay, and Bale is gonna miss out world cup a lot.
England should do well but they need to run a 4-2-3-1 formation
GK: Hart CB: Cahill, Jagielka RB/LB: Johnson/Baines CM/CDM: Lampard/Gerrard (Wilshere first alternate with Milner second) LW: Sterling RW: Oxlade CAM: Rooney (honestly you could play this guy anywhere except GK, has high motor). ST/CF: Welbeck or Sturridge
I don't know how scrubs like Phil Jones and Smalling makes the team (I am a UTD fan so I know how bad they are trust me they suck), and guys that are meh like Lambert and Henderson makes the team when there are better options then those clowns.
Bent/Defoe are both better than Lambert and if Walcott and Jay Rodriguez was healthy Lambert wouldn't even be a top 30 choice.

I think Columbia still has a chance to make it out of group without Falcao, Ivory Coast is better than them even with Falcao but they got James Rodriguez, Guarin, Jackson Martinez, and Ibarro to more than make up for Falcao's loss. Columbia vs Japan should be interesting, Japan very underrated has 2 of the best CAM in the world in Kagawa and Honda, Okazaki from Mainz is no slouch either. As for Group D, I have Italy one and then England two, Uruguay has great strike force with the triplets of Cavani, Suarez, Forlan but I don't trust their defense or GK Muslera who is avg at best.

Yeah, something tells me England could use a Garreth Bale (IMO the best attacking mid in the world right now, and he can play anything on the left side really) I think England's problem is that their style of football doesn't match up well with the other countries styles. England runs this slow, defensive, counter-attack style and the teams pick their spots. I started off as a big LFC fan, that Champions League run they had got me into it, and when they sold Torres I became a Chelsea fan too. I don't care if you're not supposed to have two teams.

Forlan destroyed in the last world cup, Suarez made a name for himself there and Cavani is a beast right now. Suarez is in the best form of his life if his injury didn't affect his fitness.

JUst out of curiosity, what club team do you like in England, Ian? And everyone else, what's your favorite club teams? Actually I don't really have a single team I support. I know I dislike Chelsea, but that's about it. I really like Liverpool, Man United and Newcastle United out of the top teams. My mate in high school played for Crewe Alex, so I liked them for a while

HINT: FUCK YOU DAVID MOYES. So I take it you're pretty happy about the Dutch/Spain result and how well the Dutch seemed to play? If he can get Man U playing like that, they will be back atop the standings.

Moyes leaving is addition by subtraction, LVG can only make things better. Just look at Chelsea with Fabregas, it took Mourinho 5 seconds to sign him while Moyes couldn't even sign him at all last year. So I am satisfied and happy with the Spain/NED results and NED playing beautiful counterattack football against that idiotic archaic boring 243545356456476734565235 passes 98 percent possession and 1 goal a game tiki taka style that Spain uses. You talk about boring that style is BORING TO DEATH, its like playing FIFA 14 and passing 500 times but not caring to score until 5 minutes before game is over.

I never really understood the whole Cesc thing, why even leave Arsenal if you end up coming right back? He knew how crowded it was at Barelona. The style that Spain plays is boring as shit. I hated watching them last world cup. I think there is a difference in the style that Spain plays and the style that Barcelona plays, and that difference is Messi. When the English counter-attack comes to fruition, I don't think there is anything more exciting. And, in my FIFA experience, which is a lot of 11 on 11 games, people try to fake out half the other team and take them all on and get tackled by the keeper.
