Here are your possible weiners in the Dynasty Five NBA Bracketology competition.
For each of the 8 possible scenarios there is a single winner. Recall that picking the winner of the series adds 80 points to your score and picking the correct number of games gives 40 more points.
If the Heatles threepeat, Shaq has the best chance by virtue of his points from earlier rounds and the fact that no one picked MIA in 4 or 5 and everyone else who picked Miami in 6 are below him in the standings.
The one exception being yours truly who wins the prize if MIA wins in 7 (hey, what do I win?). If Heatles Win in: | 4 | Shaq | 310 |
| 5 | Shaq | 310 |
| 6 | Shaq | 350 | | 7 | Bob McAdoo | 315 | If SPURS Win in: | 4 | Josh | 320 |
| 5 | itay | 340 |
| 6 | Winner Take All | 335 |
| 7 | Josh | 360 |
On the Spurs side there are three possible champions - Josh's success through earlier rounds means that he gets the "Spurs in 4" play that no one else wanted.
Interestingly Troy B's name could have been on the MIA possible winner list, but he failed to specify the number of games that the Heat would need to defeat OKC ?! in the finals on his bracket. Failing to do so means that there are no bonus points available for him.
And speaking of failing to follow directions, yes T-Mac, Magic and JRW I have tabulated your brackets and none of you have a chance to win.
I'll publish the final standings when the finals are over, sometime in August.
