Damian Lillard
Career Stats:
Advanced stats:
Damian Lillard is ranked #52 in RPM(Real Plus-Minus). However, this is because of his terrible defense. His ORPM(Offensive Real Plus-Minus) is ranked #8.

Now, his insanely high ORPM is somewhat odd for a player shooting .424 from the field. I think that there are two reasons for this:
One, the very high number of 3-point attempts he takes per games, second only to Steph Curry.
Two, I have a feeling that he is one of those players that knows when to just put the ball up at the rim when a teammate is in position for a rebound. That (and Robin Lopez) are the reason Portland is #1 in total rebounds and #3 in offensive rebounds. I think this contributes to his low FG%. This is also possibly why Robin Lopez is #1 in Offensive Rating. (lol)
Looking at his stats, it initially appears as if Lillard has regressed somewhat - due to the decrease in shooting % and assists. However, the decrease in those stats is easily attributable to him taking more threes and playing less minutes, as well as taking on more of the scoring load.
In less minutes, Lillard has increased his scoring total by about 2 points, improved his 3P%, his FT%, and reigned in his turnovers. He also played a co-pilot role in leading the Trailblazers to the #5 seed in the stacked western conference, and played tremendously against the Rockets and much-applauded Patrick Beverly's pesky defense. That game winning shot was meant for someone well beyond his years, but Damian Lillard has ICE IN HIS VEINS.
He made history at All-Star Week by participating in all 5 events, although he only took away 1/3 of the challenges - the Skills Challenge.
He is elite at the P&R, deadly off the dribble, and can always be counted on to take the last second shot - and often make it.
