May have to make everyone make their own account in order to post on here I guess.
Also...
DeRozan has now been changed, he just needs to get copied into the database for Barber & Ian.
I think this thread should basically close for now. A new one should be started if warranted in the coming season.

82 he is playing well because he is the main man in their system. If this is your basis for why a player should be what they are rated. Then we should just go ahead an lower LeBron, because he's the main man. Let's lower Dirk and LMA, and while we are at it, lets lower just about every number 1 option. Their stats are their stats. If he wasn't a good main man in their system, he wouldn't have posted Paul George like numbers. He wouldn't be in the argument for the best SG after Harden. Hell, DeRozan can be argued the best SG in the league. Because he doesn't have Dwight to free up space on the perimeter.

I change my vote to an 86 hes a better defender than Harden (so am I and probably even Vlade) but he's not as versatile on offense with his lack of 3 pt shooting. He's not an elite player but he's right at all-star level production.

DeMar has already been boosted to an 84. This whole thing with him needs to calm down a little though. As someone who has probably watched more than three quarters of DeMar's games in his entire career, an 84 is very generous.
His biggest strengths are his athleticism and work ethic. The guy lives in the gym, but his skills are still a little bit behind for him to be considered an elite player. His three point shooting has gone from non-existent to slightly below average, but he still has a ways to go there. His rebounding has always been a little below average, and his playmaking was almost non-existent before there was a concerted effort this year to grow his role as a primary ball handler within the offense.
Comparing him to Paul George is also a little too much. PG is a top 5 perimeter defender in the NBA while DeRozan is average. PG is a way better rebounder, and has a much better shot. Maybe the only thing DeRozan has over George is consistency, as PG fluctuates between the third best player in the league and an offensive liability, while DeRozan is pretty much always good but not great.

I just get this feeling his stats in sim might not actually go up.

I just get this feeling his stats in sim might not actually go up. We really shouldn't be focusing on his In Game production as a benchmark. DeMar in Toronto was THE scoring option. DeMar in D5 was behind Pierce, Deron, and KG, plus Serge was on that team. So, his scoring probably wasn't right. But his overall stats were not crazy far off. His changes include an increase in 3pt shooting, so that will go up some. He shot 48.3% in this league last year overall, that's too high! I don't think we touched that, but not b/c of that reason. Just think he was OK there with already some of the better athleticism stats in the league btw. He had about 3.5 boards and over 3 assists in this league, over a steal a game too in D5. IRL he had 4.3 Rebound and 4.0 assist. I added 15 points to his passing and a total of 7 or 8 to his rebound, so I think both of those are about appropriate. Close enough anyway. If he is used in this game like he was IRL, he'll be closer statistically to what he did IRL. If he's a 2nd/3rd option instead of a clear #1, his points won't be as high.

the stats of Paul George and Demar is comparable. Derozan MIN FGM-A FG% 3PM-A 3P% FTM-A FT% OR DR REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 38.2 7.6-17.8 .429 0.8-2.7 .305 6.6-8.0 .824 0.7 3.7 4.3 4.0 0.4 1.1 2.5 2.2 22.7 George 36.2 7.2-17.0 .424 2.3-6.3 .364 5.0-5.8 .864 0.8 6.0 6.8 3.5 0.3 1.9 2.5 2.8 21.7 if George is an 88, Derozan should at least be an 87 82 he is playing well because he is the main man in their system. Didn't you post both of these things? Im sorry for this.. those are my posts. The first one was when I am thinking and the second one was when I was groggy. haha I stand with 87 but lets find out if 84 will fit with him already.
