Still needs to work on defense but I'd say a 77 isn't out of the realm of possibility for him.

Still needs to work on defense but I'd say a 77 isn't out of the realm of possibility for him. Honestly, I said this in an old thread, there are not that many actual good defenders out there. Most older players have learned some things from experience, but even according to the real life Phil Jackson, defense is mostly about effort. I'm not saying to not consider defense but I think we knock guys too hard for defense when most players are pretty even there.

For me he needs to keep working on developing that 3pt shot. I like his work from the line, he's alright form the field, but get that 3pt shot and then he starts to become a threat. Some defensive work is needed, yes.
I personally have him at a 77. If he had more steals or blocks (like the end of last year in Orlando) I would probably put him higher, or the 3pt shot.

74, he is a bench player on the 3rd worst team in the league and is wildly inconsistent. I know he's been battling injury, but pretty much all his numbers are down from last year with the Magic. He's only 21, there's no need to jump the gun here.

And if the Magic had consistent effort over a season they would have a much better record, it's not a damnation of the team or their talent it's just that players don't play as much defense until a good coach gets a hold of them. Some forget that effort and toughness are as much a skill as the ability to shoot the ball. Something Kyrie Irving needs to learn before I refer to him as a true all-star or superstar.

I suggested Beal at a 79.. so I think 78 is appropriate for Toby atm... I think he'll turn into a mid 80s guy eventually though

Per 36 minutes he's got almost exactly the same numbers, he's just played more minutes this year with a drop in 3P% and an increase in FT%. 74 seems low for last years contributions so I'll say 76.
