I thought he was an 87 or something already and thought I was lowering him.

I think Vlade made this thread as a joke but people don't realize it. I didn't do it as a joke but rather to make a point about Bosh. I agree with your assessment of the real life Kings, however.

Can someone explain why Rudy Gay deserves an increase? I think Vlade made this thread as a joke but people don't realize it. He is basically right on his career averages for everything. If we boost Gay as people as recommending, the Kings would have Cousins (87), Gay (85), and Thomas (80). That is completely ridiculous for a perennial bottom-feeder. Rudy has his faults but he's done pretty well lately, very well for the Kings. In 53 games, almost 35mpg... 48.7/31.1/83.7%'s...20.5p/5.5r/3.1a/3.1to/1.2s/0.6b For me, I'm just correcting and fixing up an old rating. This is probably the highest I will ever rate Rudy Gay, at an 85. I think he deserves that rating. There's your explanation. For the type of player he is, that almost 49% from the field is what really impresses me. And that is with him shooting basically the worst he ever has from 3 in his career. Bump that up to his career level or even higher like he started with Toronto and he may very well be pushing 50%. Also is 5+% better at the line while getting there more often and taking more shots. You are definitely right that he's very close to a lot of his career norms, though he's + 1 in assists, + 2 in points, + 3.6% FG, and + 5.3% FT.

But we do have to make sure none of that goes into the defensive stats.
