The Rockets accept the trade. We feel we are getting good value for Kawhi here, at a time where Kawhi's value is the highest it has ever been. I feel that I can draft a player with this pick of the same quality as Kawhi or better. Hawes is a center we have high high hopes for and have specifically targeted him in this deal.

Pelicans pick could be Top 5, which gives it high value. It's definitely Top 10. Spencer Hawes is an above average talent. The Suns pick could be anywhere in the first round by 2017.
I still don't understand why rebuilding includes trading away a potentially superstar youngster, Sir Charles. I think it's a stupid thing to do and you'll regret it. You could easily get the Pelicans pick (or a comparable pick like Memphis or Utah) by trading Millsap and/or Gasol, if not directly then via a 3-team deal. That's sensible rebuilding - not that you even need to rebuild!

And to add more to my point... Houston would have a great team for the next 10 years if they just sat back and let Leonard, Oladipo and Bledsoe accrue rating changes.
I do understand wanting to make your mark on your team though, and Houston still has a lot of assets after this deal.
Phoenix wins the deal easily, but I accept. If the deal passes then congratulations on your potential franchise player for the next decade, Mr Majerle! And all because someone overrated picks all the way back in 2014.

Well if we are being fair everyone thought Greg Oden was going to be a once in a lifetime type of Center. He was really freaking good.

I feel exactly like Ian does honestly.
Charles, you are like the only person I've ever met who doesn't love Kawhi either now or his potential for the future...you don't like either. Crazy. But, again, I feel just like Ian for the most part here.
Also I'm actually a bit of a Spencer Hawes fan myself but I think Kawhi is definitely better than him...but you do get two 1sts and one is a lotto pick in a great draft so...
I'll Accept.

Accept. I like this return more than what Houston got giving up Kawhi and Millsap. It's not a bad trade for Phoenix though since he gets Kawhi.

Still not as good as Kawhi is today, but this trade occurred pre-Finals MVP Kawhi. I wouldn't have Giannis without trading Bledsoe, that is for certain. I do not think anyone thought Oladipo was going to transform this season. Still, he and Capela were the basis for the Kevin Love deal.
