I dont know if I've ever seen Klay Thompson discussed in a stock watch thread, so figured I go ahead and start one myself.
Current Rating: 79
Suggested Rating: 81
Not proposing a massive increase by any means, but he has steadily gotten better each of his 3 seasons in the league so far. Klay is what he is, which is a catch & shoot guy. But with that in mind he is 1 of the best catch and shoot guys in the league. He made 211 3's last season and is on pace to make around the same amount this season. He currently has 199 made 3's on the year while shooting 41% which is pretty good for a 3 point shooter.
If nothing else his 3 point rating should be increased and wherever that landed him overall rating wise so be it.

I like him as well. I don't know if he deserves an 81.. but I would definitely say 80.

I am going to say no change at this time although I certainly understand the argument for a slight increase to 80.

I don't see a major difference between the performance of Swaggy P and Klay Thompson. Going to have to stay firm with a 79. So Billy, you honestly think Lou Williams is better than Klay Thompson? Bc you think Lou Williams should be rated an 81

I don't see a major difference between the performance of Swaggy P and Klay Thompson. Eh, there's a key difference in their shooting %'s. Klay is over 1.5% better FG%, and about 4% better from 3. He gets an extra half rebound a game, and an extra assist per game. He also gets .3 more steals and .3 more blocks. Nick has him in FT% this year but Klay was better last year and the year before, so likely he's basically even to Nick. I'm not sure on Klay's rating, what I'd give him off the top of my head, but he's more efficient and is a better rebounder, passer, and steal/block & defender than Nick. None of those are by a big margin I'll give you, although 1.5 combined Steal/Block is a fair amount better than 0.9. I think Nick is getting a 76 or 77, which means the 79 on Klay is hard to say he should be too much higher. Probably an 80 tops for now considering the %'s and all of the other slight advantages. I'll go 80

On their 3pt and FG% difference I'd honestly put it at the 2 points.
Add in all the other stuff and you get to that 3rd point comfortably to me.
Agree to disagree I suppose as usual.

I think, like Chris said, his 3 PT Shooting should be increased and wherever that leaves him OVR wise, I'm ok with it.
I don't know what his 3 PT attribute is at in the game, so I don't know what it should be, but if it has gone unchanged since he joined the league, it should get a nice bump up.
I would imagine this would then raise him a point or two.
80.75

Hard to say but I settled on 80. I want to give him I higher grade but I think he'll be able to improve yet again the following season.
His numbers are better than Young's numbers to the point where a 3 point difference is fine.

I think a lot of these arguments we are having is about a players rating in terms of their peers. It seems like a lot of guys are overrated and haven't been nerfed in a while and people are using these guys as baseline arguments for increases. I don't think this is the case for Klay though.
The kid has an all-time great shooting ability. I think he COULD become a Reggie Miller type guy. But I also think he gets a lot of open looks because of Steph and the rest of the bunch.

I say a decrease to a 78 is fair. If he's a 79 and Young can't get but a 76 or 77...why?
That's why we need a system guys...
Do I really need to keep saying this? ?...
78
