THE DYNASTY 5IVE RUMOR MILL
Greetings, basketball sim league fans! Welcome to the Dynasty Five Rumor Mill! Insider information about your favorite teams; Shaken, not stirred!
Let's start things off with trade rumors!
TRADE RUMORS
Sources from within the league are saying that the newly-appointed Sacramento Kings GM Rex Ryan are already looking to make some changes to their roster. How big the changes are still remains to be seen.
More on teams looking for some big moves. Insiders have whispered to the D5 Rumor Mill that Minnesota GM Walt Frazier is also looking at dealing his players and is currently looking over some very good deals.
Some sources have told the D5 Rumor Mill that Chicago and Oklahoma City have begun negotiations trying to swap Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant. No word on the possible other pieces to this trade, but whether this actually happens remains to be seen.
After the trade that involves sending Corey Maggette away from Charlotte to Atlanta for Kirk Hinrich has gone public, our sources in Charlotte have sent in word that they have never seen Corey Maggette work as hard as he has during their last practice. Maybe Corey is trying to prove to the Bobcats that he belongs there?
Speaking of the Bobcats, another source in Charlotte told us that the Miami Heat have inquired about gathering the services of Byron Mullens. Could a potential swap be brewing?
The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly been shopping around Monta Ellis. Could he be on the move this season?
We move to the City of Angels as we have received reports that Power Forward Ed Davis and Center Jordan Hill are in high demand in the league. Apparently, three teams are trying to get their services. Will they be traded?
Sources from within Boston have reported to us that Rondo is apparently not happy with what’s going on behind the scenes. In fact, our sources say that Rondo went so far as to skip team shootaround and even demanded a trade away from Boston.
More news from Boston. Shortly after being traded to the Celtics, our sources claim that trade talks are already heating up as 3 teams have already inquired about adding Enes Kanter to their roster. Apparently, one of the three teams is the Denver Nuggets, who are offering JaVale McGee.
And now, on to other news!
OTHER RUMORS
As you probably know by now, Pau Gasol blew up during a press conference in Houston that showcased the coming together of the two brothers. He went on to attack former teammate Kobe Bryant (click for story). We asked Kobe for his response, he simply shrugged and said “That guy’s delusional. We don’t need his soft [bleep]. We’ll still win without him.”
Another big story this week was the announcement that Steve Nash has been traded from the Suns to the Raptors (click for story). We caught up with Steve Nash while he was clearing his lockers in Phoenix to ask him about his thoughts. “I’ve spent a good chunk of my career in Phoenix. No matter where I play, this team and these fans will always remain close to my heart.” Phoenix GM JP Inawat added, “It was a tough decision for us to trade away Nash, but I’d still like for him to retire in Phoenix.”
We caught up with CP3 after the trade which sent him to New York for Carmelo Anthony. He had this to say. “That was a great brand of basketball me, Blake and the rest of the gang played in L.A., but I can’t see how it won’t work in N.Y. with D12.”
In the other side of that trade, Carmelo Anthony had this to say about playing with Blake Griffin. "I get tired of hearing, 'Can it work? Will it work?' We're here to play basketball. We'll figure it out. I don't think it's something that's that difficult to figure out." The D5 Rumor Mill would like to apologize to Melo if we offended him, and would like to wish him and his new team good luck for the rest of this season.
New Orleans GM Jackie Moon yet to respond to the allegations former NO player Eric Gordon have said to the media that NO Center Chris Kaman is “banging [Moon’s] wife”, but a close friend of Chris Kaman have whispered to us that Kaman may have done some things he will probably regret during a night out partying.
Speaking of partying, Dennis Rodman was seen last night partying among the local clubs in Charlotte. We asked him about Corey Maggette being traded and he had this to say. “This mother[bleep]er is huge you know, [bleep]? If he is traded then I hate him, but being by my side, I love him. Know what I'm saying?” Then we asked him if he plans on wearing any more freaky stuff on the court, and he said “I’ll leave some things for your imagination.” Oh, God, what does that mean..?
