Currently: 74
SUGGESTED: 80
He sometimes plays at an even higher rating and can score with the best of them but just like Conley he's inconsistent. I'll go with an 80 just because of that.

WTF?
17 points per game is nice, but how does he get them? He has a solid but not great 3pt stroke (just under 37%). He can make his FT's, always has (83%, right at career #'s). But his FG% is 42%. That's bad. And that's really all he is. 28 mpg and he gets 2.6 rebounds? That's zero rebounding skill. 28 mpg and, as a guard, he gets you 1.4 assists, but 1.6 TO's? Very bad. Less than a steal per game, not good at all.
74 is fine, he can shoot 3's and has some athleticism but his shot in general isn't good and he has literally nothing else going for him.

More TO than ast for a guard is a very, very bad sign guys. Shooting 42% is bad. 36-37% from 3 is good but not great, it's one of his 2-3 redeeming qualities. He can't really pass or rebound or play defense, and he's an ineffective scorer. He has a solid 3 pt shot and can hit ft's, plus has athleticism. He can't rebound or pass or play defense well.

No way he's an 80. He is a decent three point shooter, but that's pretty much it. He also doesn't contribute anything else to the game. I'll say 76.

This league overrates Guards so much it's crazy. He literally can shoot the 3 and make FT, not elite in either place btw, and is a negative everywhere else, or a non-factor.

I'll say 77 for SwaggyP, the first Laker EVER to score 40 points OFF THE BENCH.

I figured 78-80. But he's not as bad as walt and Alex make him out to be.

He's looking like a 76 JR, not a 78-80

I would give him a 75.

I'll say 77 for SwaggyP, the first Laker EVER to score 40 points OFF THE BENCH. Playing for a horrible team, these type of players do occasionally go off. If he's a 77 rating for this league, why isn't he starting for one of the worst teams in the NBA?

He's averaging 28.4mpg this season.
Jodie Meeks: 32.8mpg Wesley Johnson: 27.7mpg
He's basically getting the minutes of a starter. Meeks and Johnson defend better than Young, maybe that's the reason he's not a starter. I think the best comparison would be Jason Terry in Dallas. Comes off the bench, earns the minutes of a starter, takes a lot of shots.

The Jason Terry you are referring to shot anywhere from 46-50% in his prime, and 44.6% for his career.
Terry also made over 40% for his prime, and 37% for his career. And, Terry made 84.6% of his career FT, Young is at 82.8%
Overall, my main point is Young is very inefficient shooting the ball.
But wait, there's more!
Terry also has 4.4 apg for his career, and was in the 5+ range a few years, hell he got 7+ one season. Nick Young avg 1.1 apg for his career.
Terry also avg 1.2 spg, while Young is at .6
Hate seeing pure scorers who aren't even effective scorers getting overrated on bad teams. I don't care if a guy scores a lot, if he does it with just ok 3pt% and bad FG%, he's not that good.

I think.a 77 would be fair. He can and will be a starter. Not Worried About %. He can score and he does defend at times. And of course he doesn't start because of the coach. And he does play better with starter mins off the bench. I say a 77 is fair.

I think 77 is good for a bench pure scorer.

Remember he's a shooting guard, more emphasis on the shooting and less on the guarding anyone part of it.

More emphasis on the shooting and not guarding, eh? Then why doesn't he shoot better? He also can't guard!
