Isn't the whole point that this game mirrors real life? Isn't like half the fun of the league just bullshitting and arguing about basketball with other people who like basketball? I don't even like basketball, I just kind of enjoy arguing constructively and critically thinking about things!!!

Can't everyone just please put in their vote for the rating and stop fighting and posting reasoning and stats. Let's just get the player ratings updated please so we can move on with updated players before the playoffs. This crap just needs to move quickly. Otherwise teams now doing well may not be the same team we see come playoff time.
Thanks

JR, I dunno what world you live in but you are telling people to blindly post things basically. Post w/o reasoning? I am completely opposite of you, I think we should require more reasoning on most of the posts. Half the votes that come in are a simple "74" and that's all. Why does that person think that? Could they at LEAST say "I agree with what this person said" and then give their rating.

Walt,
I am one of those guys who only gives a simple "76" and that is all most of the time. There are a few reasons for this.
1 -Time: Truthfully, I want to participate in the stock watch voting but I don't want to write a statement for each one. With the volume lately, I will go through and do multiple at the same time.
2 - With that being said, you guys actually do a very good job of stating the stats with points and counter points. I read every post in the thread and don't feel the need to repeat what has already been said.
3 - In some threads, it turns into an argument and I just don't want to spend any time on that. I do love good debates though.
I will try to give a little more reasoning in the future but if I don't, please understand that it is not from apathy.

Basically the same reason why I don't write paragraphs upon paragraphs when posting in rating threads.

I'm not upset with those that just post a #, but I do wish there was even the slightest mention of "agreed with Alex" or something as small as that. But, I get you, and I understand. No hard feelings at all, just looking for an ideal world situation I guess :-)

I should also say, you guys and others like you are the reason I feel like I want to post big paragraphs with lots of evidence. If I lay out the argument clearly with a ton of supporting evidence, at least I've done what I can do to clearly express what I think and why I think it.

You do a good job of that. I watch so much NBA ball it isn't funny (probably too much:) and have my own personal opinions about everyone but when you are splitting hairs or when I am torn between a range for a player, then those stats and arguments come into play some.
Again, I will start putting a little more info. No issue there.
You guys do are doing a great job with catching up the ratings some of which are long over due. Keep up the good work!

I was thinking about it and since we as a league want to make things as real as possible when it comes to ratings. ..
I think we should vote on a list of players to be decreased right away. For the seasons sake. ..
Normally Ian chooses who and when to increase and decrease players.
I though think who and when will make a huge difference to the season and the league.
If you have a player in the league that needs to be changed in the game right away please post it now...
I'll start off with:
STEVE NASH BEN GORDON
no way he hasn't been dropped yet. Let's see how his team fairs when his rating gets dropped to where it belongs.
